Say goodbye to boring indoor training.

No one said that replicating a quality outdoor ride was easy. However, innovation rarely emanates from simplicity. But, through a few key technological developments, CycleOps has turned the world of indoor training on its head. New to the Pro series, the 410 Pro Indoor Cycle comes equipped with the revolutionary Virtual Training software. Now, by matching resistance to actual GPS ride data, the doldrums of winter training are a thing of the past.

The 410 Pro Indoor Cycle comes with the CycleOps Joule 3.0 cycling computer as standard equipment, along with a PowerTap power meter in the rear flywheel. With the power readings, you'll get accurate digital feedback to know exactly what your effort is, not just what it feels like. The Joule 3.0 uses ANT+ technology to communicate wirelessly to the PowerTap hub. And if you choose to use the Joule 3.0 on your bike outdoors, it will also communicate with any other ANT+ powermeter and/or cadence and speed sensors. However, riding your bike with the Joule and no powermeter will still enable you to track every detail of your ride, save for the power data. Please Note: This particular PowerTap in the rear flywheel operates on a narrow portion of the frequency range within the full breadth of ANT+. This means that, even though the Joule 3.0 is easily used to detect other powermeters, you may or may not be able to substitute another ANT+ CPU to read your power data on the 410 Pro Indoor Cycle.

With the Joule, though, you can track a variety of information as you ride. In real time, you'll view your power in watts and w/kg and see your current, average, and max. For interval training, you'll find the power zone, average power zone, and max power zones to be effective data gathering. For peak power, you can view data in five second, five minute, and twenty minute increments. You'll also gain access to WKO+ metrics like training stress score, normalized power, and intensity factor. Work is measured in kilojoules and kilojoules per hour for the power minded, and also in calories for the days where you just want a rewarding workout. Other useful readings include your current, average, and max cadence and heart rate. As for climbing, you can view your current gradient and current altitude and how long and high your total ascent has been. And of course, Joule displays the time of day, your distance, and how long you've been in the saddle. Another great feature is the ability to store a good bit of data on the Joule 3.0 CPU before having to download it to your computer. On a personal note, we've saved up to 20 rides before doing a data dump. And to make life easier, the CPU accepts a Micro SD card to expand the storage capacity.

The 410 Pro also features CycleOps' Controlled Resistance Technology. So, you can conduct the resistance per a custom or saved ride in the Joule 3.0. Also, if you use the downloadable Power Agent Software, you'll be able to generate a variety of detailed reports of your workouts to analyze and track your progress. And while the computer technology is fantastic, if there's one reason why we love Cycleops' indoor bikes so much, it's that the 48lb flywheel simulates the momentum you'd develop at speed on the road. Basically, it's the most road-like feel that you can get indoors. And yes, you can freewheel any time that you feel like a break. This real-world ride quality is even further complemented by the 410's four points of adjustability which make replicating your custom geometry a painless affair.

Additionally, for the first time, the 410 Pro includes CycleOps' revolutionary Virtual Training software. This enables you to select from a huge database of rides, or you can set your own ride with either your or Virtual Trainer's GPS data. Once your ride is selected, you simply download the ride data to your ANT+ stick, select training or race mode, and then the trainer's resistance levels will adjust for the virtual road's gradient and difficulty. On top of this, you can view your route on your computer's display. And when your ride is completed, your data will be stored on your own Virtual Training profile for review or for comparison against others. Basically, the software is simple to use, and takes away much of the inevitable boredom that stems from the hours of staring at a wall while in the saddle

Please Note: Due to the size and weight of the package, a CycleOps Indoor Cycle is shipped via freight carrier only and is limited to the contiguous U.S.
