Description

Butcher the field.

Listen for the post-race jabber to slow a bit when you put the Cutter 801 Carbon CX Bike back on your roof rack. Nobody noticed it on the way in, thanks to the decidedly stealth graphics and styling. That changed when you crushed the field and ended up on the top step of the podium. Cutter’s all-new ‘cross bike features some seriously stiff carbon construction, and the right mix of parts to keep you flying through the course without worrying about breaking a super-spendy widget.

  • SRAM Apex drivetrain benefits from SRAM’s lightning-fast technological trickle-down, and features the renowned DoubleTap shifting system for intuitive, reliable shifting
  • FSA RD-60 wheels are light enough for racing, and strong enough for racing ‘cross
  • Full-carbon, cross-specific frame features oversized tube junctions for maximum stiffness
  • Integrated rear cable hanger for solid, predictable braking
  • FSA Energy Cross crankset provides efficient power transfer and cyclocross-sized chainrings
  • DISCLAIMER: Bike is NOT ready to ride and requires assembly by a certified bike mechanic. We will not be held liable for injuries you cause to yourself or others through the use (or misuse) of this product. So don’t be stupid.

I ride a size 54 Jamis for cross (and a 56 Jamis for Road)...any thoughts on the 53 or 55 in this model? I am leaning towards the 55 but I do like my cross bikes shorter......?

Responded on

Actually, the 53 Cutter is going to be almost the same size as your 54 Jamis in size. If you like tighter cockpit of your Jamis I'd stick go with the 53. If you do decide on the 55, you might want to get a shorter stem.

55cm is 20.5 lbs. rides great stiff, efficient, fast.

Is that price right?

For a apex build kit, FSA cranks and a full carbon frame at this price is amazing. Any other brand would cost you 2500$ easy. The frame is stiff for power transfer but is not overally harsh, the apex is a great group and shifts well. The overall bike is a lb or 2 heavier than I would prefer but overall its worth every penny. The logo's are very, very subtle, the green really pops and you have a lot of people ask questions about it at cyclocross races. You just cant beat it at this price point.
