Description

The ol' squeeze test works well enough when you're only a few miles from home, but what if you're pumping up a flat with hours left to ride? You best get the pressures nailed from the beginning and the built-in gauge in Crank Brothers' Sterling SG Pump lets you dial up tires all the way to 100PSI. The reversible head fits both Presta and Schrader valves, and the dual-action design has a high-volume setting for mountain tires, and a low-volume setting that puts more pressure into road rubbers. The whole shebang weighs just 141g, too, so it'll be an inconspicuous presence in your pack.

I have one crank brothers pump, and decided to buy a 2nd to have. I like the gauge on this pump, and am excited to put it in my pack and hopefully never have to use it!

Great pump

I bought the small one to carry it on my bike, it came with a bike mount (you can check it in the photo) that keeps the pump steady there no matter what, believe me :P it never falls.

The pressure indicator is very very helpful that is why I buy it in the first time; on the other hand it has 2 level inflate speeds so check them out before.

Great pump

Great compact tire pump

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

This pump has saved my butt several times on the trail when my Co2 cartridges fail. Solidly made, super easy to use valve that works with both schrader and presta valves without having to change anything in the pump head. The gauge is great for fine tuning pressure on my mountain bike. It also has a switch to change from low volume action (for road) to high volume (Mountain). All in all, nicely made, nicely thought out product that has a permanent spot in my backpack.

I didn't see info in the "description & specs" section about mounting the pump to the frame. Does it come with hardware for this?

Don't think it comes with a mount - small enough to stash in a jersey pocket though :)
