Rebuild Kit

Ride any pedal off road enough and you'll want to rebuild it. True to its mission, Crankbrothers pedal rebuild kits are simple and easy to work with, only marginally harder than the effort it takes to take the pedal off the spindle, which is what you need to do to grease it.

You'll need a screwdriver or pick to get off the exterior cover, an allen key to unscrew the bolt that holds the pedal to the spindle, a circlip plier to pull out the clip that holds the sealed bearing in place and probably a mallet and some kind of punch (a Philips head screwdriver will work) to knock the sealed cartridge bearing.

There are several kits available. We carry rebuild kits for Candy, Mallet, and the classic Egg Beater pedals (2003 to present). Each kit comes with instructions and parts to rebuild the internals on one pair of pedals. Included are two ball bearing cartridges, two composite bushings, two reinforced lip seals, and two end caps.
