Crank Brothers 5050 3 Pedals $0.00
When Crank Brothers originally released the 5050 pedal, it became an instant hit. With the large pedal body and dual concave shape, everyone from dirt jumpers, to downhillers, to cross country riders raved about the comfort and grip. But never content to rest on its laurels, Crank Brothers has updated its classic platform, and the result is the 5050 3 pedal.
Long time 5050 fans will immediately notice the new two piece body. The outer-shoulder is built from aluminum alloy in order to enhance the pedal's resistance to impact. The inner-portion of the body is built from lightweight and durable polycarbonate. The spindle uses a similar profile to Crank Brother's clipless pedals, only it employs a new chromoly steel alloy that's claimed to be 50% stronger than previous versions. The 3, however, sits atop the heap of Crank Brothers pedals, so it runs on a blend of high-load needle bearings and cartridge bearings, unlike the bushing-based 5050 2. The pins are height adjustable, so you're able to fine tune your grip. And at around 432 grams per set, they're not only durable, but lightweight in the realm of platform pedals.
The Crank Brothers 5050 3 Pedals are available in one size and in the color Red/black.

Buy these pedals ASAP
- Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer
Bought these pedals from BC not too long ago, and have already tried to beat them up pretty bad on tons of single track around Colorado. I hosed them off last night and they look practically brand new. I've tried a handful of pedals, both clipless and flats (majority crank bros), and these are definitely my favorite yet. Unless you're planning on riding through the gnarliest rock garden the world has never seen than your feet are going nowhere. It's like wearing a clipless but without that constant fear of a bad crash. When first opening the box I thought the bearings would be too spread out to give much traction, but was taught otherwise my first ride with them. At just over 60$ these pedals are an absolute must. Plus the red is so stylin on any bike.
