Description

Stay comfortable wherever you are

Shoulder seasons reflect Mother Nature's uncertainty, and sadly, it also places confusion into your wardrobe. Too hot, and heat's perspiration quickly leads to too cold. Too cold, and well, you're too cold. Is it too much to ask for a base layer that works as the temperature changes? Luckily, Craft says no. And with its ZERO Extreme Concept Long Sleeve Base Layer, you finally get the Yin and the Yang of thermo-regulation.

Base layers shouldn't add an irritating or lumpy layer of bulk under your jersey. Instead, their usefulness rests in their ability to regulate your core body temperature. For decades, Craft has been developing materials that keep you warm in an arctic winter or cool in Saharan heat. The two fabrics which handily succeed in fulfilling these large temperature control demands are the Zero and the Cool, respectively. And the key to both the fabrics is how well each works to keep the body temperature neutral by keeping it dry.

By merging Craft's two flagship fabrics, the Zero Extreme combines the moisture wicking genius of the Zero with the breathability of Cool. This means that as you sweat, the Zero fibers pull the moisture away from your body while the Cool fibers pull the damp to the outer layer of the shirt. Once the moisture reaches the outer layer, the weave of the Cool fiber promotes air circulation away from the skin which dries the fabric without cooling you off at the same time. The Zero Extreme also incorporates an antimicrobial treatment which prevents fabric odor from setting in.

The Craft Zero Extreme Concept Base Layer has been designed to regulate your body temperature in whatever zones require it. The seamless torso has an anatomic fit, and doesn't pull uncomfortably at the armpits since the thin, lightweight fabric is also extremely elastic. It will hug, not cling to your body, and the flatlock seams succeed in making this base layer an ideal second skin.

The Craft Zero Extreme Concept Long Sleeve Base Layer is available in six sizes from X-Small to XX-Large and in the colors Black, White, and Platinum/white.

  • Shaping, stretch panels, and gussets work together to keep the top in place during high-intensity activities, which allows it to wick moisture more effectively
  • ProCool outer face allows moisture to evaporate without making you freeze
  • Flat-lock stitching for a comfortable, chafe-free fit

Just tried this - nice

Great baselayer. Just used it today for the first time. Fitted without being too snug. Comfortable. It lived up to its billing at wicking away moisture. I was dry/comfortable despite having an outlayer (Castelli Aerolite Jersey) fully zipped up. So early indications are positive. Will be interesting to see how it launders over time as it doesn't seem overly robust material

How tough is the material? I had been using a longsleeve rash guard to hold off the sun, here in Phoenix, but it punched right through with a mild fall. It kept the dirt out of the wound, but only for the one shot. I know its not advertised as tough, but it seems it would be cooler than anthing else available.

Hey Tristan,

Yeah this isn't exactly built for durability, just strictly breathability and moisture wicking for high-intensity activities.
