Craft Warm Crewneck Long Sleeve Base Layer $0.00
Even with the scientific leaps and bounds of the past few decades, we're continually forced to realize that sometimes nature had it right to begin with. Wool is such a case, and the Craft Warm CK Wool Roundneck Long Sleeve Top proves it beyond a doubt. Utilizing the natural warmth and wicking capabilities of wool, Craft created a base layer that will keep you warm and dry through the harshest moments of the season.
Craft's Warm series of layers are specifically designed for intense activities in cold weather. Using extensive body-mapping to define zones that are more susceptible to cold, or that sweat more, it created a long sleeve baselayer that regulates your core's temperature. Regulating body temperature is done in two ways. First, once you start to exert yourself, sweating occurs, and therefore moisture buildup becomes is inevitable. To stay warm, the moisture must be moved away from the skin before it's cooled by the air. Second, dry air needs to be trapped against the skin. Body heat, in turn, warms it, and then it becomes an insulating layer.
The Craft Warm Crewneck uses a 3-D knitting process that takes thick, hollow synthetic fibers and knits them in varying thickness into one piece of seamless fabric. The thicker areas are placed where the body is more exposed to cold, such as a frontal wind that hits the chest and shoulders. Thinner, more breathable panels are placed at the armpits and between the thicker panels in order to increase moisture transfer. The result is a streamlined, next-to-skin fitting base layer that looks like something a super hero would don. That is, if superheros rode bikes.
The Craft Warm Crewneck Long Sleeve Base Layer is available in six sizes from X-Small to XX-Large in the colors Focus and Black/iron.
