Wear the super comfortable, wicking Craft Pro Race Bib Shorts during your training rides.
The Craft Men's Pro Race Bib Shorts let you focus on your riding, not on the comfort or fit of your apparel. These bib shorts feature a seamless, molded, four-way-stretch chamois that moves with your body and eliminates chafing and pressure points. The Pro Race Shorts' eight-panel construction gives you a superb fit. These shorts' panels feature dimples (like those you see on golf balls) that provide muscle support and reduce drag. The stretchy, lightweight highback is super breathable to help you stay cool and dry as you prepare for an upcoming stage race. Silicon leg grippers hold your Craft shorts in place.

Note: Craft base layers are meant to fit snugly against your body and are designed to stretch with your movements. Craft Race Wear is designed with a competition fit; close and comfortable to ensure the garment's performance. Craft Training Gear has a slightly looser fit, but it remains in contact with your body to enhance the fabric's ability to help regulate your core temperature.

Love these bib shorts. They are super comfortable and stay up beautifully. Only minor complaint is I could use a smidge more room around the thigh cuffs. Im hoping the elastics will stretch a little with time...
these shorts provide some nice compression in the legs. Seem very well made with nice stitching. The straps are wide and comfy. I'm 5'9, 180 lbs, 33 waist, and I got a Medium based on the reviews and sizing chart. The Legs and waist are pretty spot on. The straps are fine, and stay in place without a problem, but can probably fit a much taller person since they're elastic.
I'm 6' 175 lbs, 32-33 waist, size medium of these bibs fit great everywhere except the leg grippers, which are too tight for me. I've re-ordered the same bib in size large. Otherwise, excellent Craft quality.
This is by far the best bib shorts I own. Well from the 3 pairs I own anyways. The shoulder straps are wide so it doesn't hurt and the mesh back allows more air circulation. The chamois is pretty thick as well, I like the extra padding. The size chart is very accurate as well. Overall a pair of really good shorts.
I was excited to give these a try. I exclusively wear bibs and am always searching for the most comfortable set. My current fav is PI Octane, but the Assos is a close 2nd place. I wear a size L, ordered these in that size. The upper portion of the bib seemed to be sided for a 7 foot tall person's torso, way too tall. Secondly, the chamios was not in the proper place, it was way too far forward. The design of these is horrible. I would recommend the PI P.R.O. bib over these for a few bucks less.
While the B.S. dimpled fabric will reduce drag as much as swapping your bolts with titanium hardware will make you faster (IE: not much), these are still great bibs.
The chamois is excellent for the price (very similar to the Giordana Forma Red bibs), and the construction has held up extremely well, as these were my primary bibs for over a year and saw regular weekly machine washings with no damage to speak of. The fit is great, with no bunching/riding up, and the dimpled fabric feels kind of awesome. My only gripe is that the silicon grippers, while comfortable enough, are a bit on the tight side.
While I have moved on to the Forma Reds as my primary bibs (the fit is slightly better for my body type, but they are costly), I've recently purchased another pair of the Pro Race bibs, and both are still in regular rotation. The Giordanas are a hair more comfortable, but the Crafts are definitely the better value.
Most people wear a jersey over the bib shorts and the only times you would be "bare chested" would be when you have your jersey unzipped for those long hot climbs. A lot of the pro riders wear the bibs instead of normal cycling shorts. I hope that helps.
I'm 6'1", 180#. Normally, I would wear a large size, but these fit better in a medium. A couple of things that I don't like about these bibs are the pad, which doesn't come up high enough in the front. It really stops at an awkward place. Also, the fabric is almost see through. I'm not modest by any means, but these were too translucent even for me.
This was my first time buying and wearing Craft shorts and I am very impressed. I have spent the big bucks on the big name shorts and I have gone cheap too. For the cost these shorts are as good if not better than the high end shorts that are out there. Leg fit is great. No bunching or pinching in the chamois area. The silicon leg grippers do exactly as billed. The chamois is very comfortable and well padded. I did experience a little saddle sore issue after the first couple uses, but that is common when switching shorts. Ride comfort is great. I am riding 50+ miles per day so ride comfort is very important to me and these shorts fulfill the need. You could spend a lot more for the same comfort and performance or keep the cash and buy these shorts. I'll be back for 2 more shortly.
I'm 6'1, 175, 34" waist, with a long torso. The mediums fit me just fine, although the newer version of these shorts seem to have a tighter elastic band around the legs than last year's. You're super skinny, and I'm thinking you may be swimming in a large.
So this is obviously for current readers since it's not 2008 anymore...!
I'm 6'1", 165lbs, typically buy 32" waist jeans and the large fits perfect for me. My last bike adjustment guy said I had a short torso and long legs and arms. Not sure if that helps with comparison. I think the mediums would fit circumference-wise but I like the length of the large and they're not loose at all.
They have substantial grip so work well over knee warmers and not sure if it's noted anywhere else but this Pro Race Bib version does also feature a small 'MP3 player' pocket in the back. My Craft Active ones do not. A nice, snug place to put my brick of an iPhone so it doesn't bounce in my jersey pocket when I climb.
