Better than similar from Castelli
I have similar featherweight/packable jackets from Castelli and others. The Castelli Leggero is thoughtfully engineered (as always) and very good looking, but suffers from a very cheap zipper. The Craft PB Featherweight is my favorite. Best venting and function overall.
The Craft is also (arguably) the best looking. Craft hit a _home run_ with the styling of this jacket -esp in the black with red & white accents. The hi-viz is also good looking and really important for visibility on highways or in town. And although light and very packable, the fabric is also relatively substantial/strong (unlike many of the other guy's packable jackets -yah I'm talking about you Castelli).
One caveat: the made in China sewing QC was just ok with my sample. Some loose threads and 2 inches of missing sewing along one of the wrist areas. I'll have a tailor reinforce this. But come'n Craft! Get your QC in order. You're Craft!
Under 'product description' the material...
Under 'product description' the material is listed as 'polyester, mesh'. From the product photos it's not apparent where the 'mesh' is. Can you tell me?
Mesh is on the sides under the arms from the pit all the way to the waist. Also not shown in the pic is a small vent across the back from pit to pit. Compared to some, this jacket is better vented as a result.
a Jacket for ANTS?
What is this, a jacket for ANTS?! I bought this for my husband for his birthday, and I got a Medium, he usually wears mediums at 165# and 5'10". This jacket was comically tiny. When he put it on, it looked like he was wearing a tuxedo jacket.
It is being returned, but we might very well get a larger size (or two sizes larger?) because it's a VERY nice looking jacket.
So, I'm giving it a lot of stars, but BUYER BE WARNED, it's tiny, but hilariously so.
