Description

Super light, super fast.

Ever get a close up view of the summer race jerseys the Leopard team, sponsored by Craft, races? It looks like a mesh baselayer turned into a jersey. You can get the same fabric with a second skin fit in this Men's Elite Bike Mesh Superlight Jersey, also from Craft.

On a hot day, this jersey is so light and airy, it's almost like cheating. The mesh fabric is thin and stretchy, and thanks to the fact its woven with hexachannel fibers, extremely good at moving moisture away from the body.

Thanks to the stretch, the jersey fits like a second skin. That might strike some as restricting, but in the hands of Craft's designers, it moves so well, you'll hardly notice its there. They deploy their elastic wing panel construction so that not only are you comfortable when low and aerodynamic, but also comfortable when riding out of the saddle or reaching for a sticky bottle. Even the collar has been carefully thought out and reimagined for greater comfort.

In back, there are three conventional pockets, with a hidden zippered pocket in the middle. There's even a port from the middle pocket to the inside of the jersey to better route personal communication devices. The pockets are secured to your body with a silicone print panel stitched on the inside of the rear waist hem, and they won't bounce because Craft uses two-way stretch in the back panel, with the stretch oriented horizontally. The Craft logos are reflective.

The Craft Men's Elite Bike Mesh Superlight Jersey comes in two colors. Sizes run from X-Small to XX-Large.

superlight, don't forget your sunblock!

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: Runs small

This is definitely my goto for the hottest days. It feels a bit fragile and I'd be hesitant to mtn bike in it. And you can see the bib straps through it (bit nippleicious for my taste). But the breeze is just delightful...
The fit, like lots of euro jerseys, is snug and I needed a large (I am almost the definition of american M) to not feel like I was in sausage casing.

Stay Cool in Black

Who would have thought?

My biggest regret was waiting until the tail end of summer to pick one of these up. The jersey is fantastically light weight and breathes very well. For 90+ degree rides I have a hard time reaching for any other jersey now.

This is the first piece from Craft that I have owned. Construction seems right up there with best from other big name brands. Being very fair skinned, and echoing previous reviews, sunscreen under this thing is mandatory - it's that thin. If you're one to get self conscious when you kit up, this may not be the jersey for you as it is more or less see through.

But if staying cool is the priority, you really can't go wrong with this one.

If you live in a hot environment and are looking for a great summer jersey that is light weight and will keep you cool-look no further. This jersey is exceptional in quality and fit. The Elite line from Craft is probably some of the best made apparel on the market and its the small attention to detail that sets it apart. It feels so good against the skin. Very stylish too.
One note-this is a very thin jersey so make sure you wear some type of spray on sunscreen under it as it does not provide a lot of SPF.
Highly,Highly recommended :)
