I love these
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
I'm 5'3" 115 lbs with very small bones and the small is a perfect fit. The fit could be a problem for someone with longer arms. I've worn them for cooling and slight protection from chill when thick arm warmers are too hot but I want to cut a cool breeze. For 90+ degrees I recommend wetting them down first, and during the ride if you have access to extra water. I really like the white. It's so close fitting and transparent that veins are visible, but doesn't constrict at all.
Extra Layer of Skin
Love these. There is nothing to them. Nice as an arm protector. Will cut the edge of the cold slightly. Purchased L. Arm measure 11.5 inches at the forearm and 13 inches at a relaxed bicep. Perfect fit for me.
They do the job
Agree with comments below. Not as long as winter warmers, and maybe a bit snugger, depending upon your gym routine. But for sun covers they work on my irish pink skin. Made in China.
My L/XL only measures 13" versus 15-16" on others. It doesn't cover my upper arm.
Wore these arm coolers on a Century ride in Logan, in 97 degree heat ... and they worked GREAT. My arms didn't heat up, nor did they get sunburned. Highly recommend these coolers to anyone riding in the heat and sun.
Best thing since sliced bread
After having melanoma, I am very conscious of how much sun exposure I am getting cycling. Plus, I ride in Texas, where it's just flat out miserably hot in summer.
I tested these out on a big 49 mile charity ride ride the weekend before last. While I bought them for sun protection, I was skeptical of whether they would keep me cooler. I am now a 100% convert.
They work best if you squirt water on them to wet them as you ride - but if you do that, they really do make a huge difference.
I was literally telling people about them at every rest stop and at the finish line. I came home and ordered more. I will not ride in Texas summer heat without them anymore. I now have both the white and pink and I returned another well known brand's arm coolers after wearing these - these are SO MUCH LIGHTER and MORE COMFORTABLE to wear!
Craft, please make the same thing to protect your legs from sun exposure! Pretty please!
I'm 5'6, 140 lbs - a small fits me perfectly.
I'm comparing these to the pearl izumi sun sleeves. The fit seems a bit more snug on these arm coolers, and they seem to be much cooler. I have these to protect my tattoo sleeve against the sun and they do the job, while keeping me cool. I also like how the cut on these is a little shorter on length of the arm compared to the pearl izumi. I'm 5'8, 158 lbs, my arms aren't Andy Schleck skinny but they're not big either. I got a size L/XL, and it's perfect. The S/M I could hardly fit on.
Great for sun protection and cooling--they almost feel wet as they pull heat off your skin. Pretty tight fit provides compression. Happy with this purchase.
They keep the sun off your arms and keeps them cool. They pack up super small. These are very thin. They work better than I expected. You can feel them cooling your arms as soon as you put them on. I got my wife a pair of Perlizumi and I like these better they are much thinner. I would wear them mountain biking too but I don't want them to get dirty.
what's the difference between "tech" coolers...
what's the difference between "tech" coolers and the "white" one?
