The Continental Grand Prix 4 Season Tire takes the overall grippiness and performance inherent to the G.P. 4000 and adds extra sidewall durability to increase the puncture protection. DuraSkin is Continental's patented nylon mesh layer that significantly beefs up the sidewall for flat resistance, without compromising a supple ride quality or adding significant weight.

When you look at the tread pattern, you'll find that the GP 4 Season has slight knurled panels toward the shoulder, which help you find grip, especially on inconsistent road surfaces. This being a tire designed for variable riding conditions, there are channels that direct water away from the centerline of the tire, further enhancing grip. Yet unlike on some other mixed-conditions road tires, the centerline is uninterrupted, ensuring fast rolling.

The rubber compound is designed to stay pliable in cold conditions, to ensure grip when fair-weather tires have hardened up and become slippery.
