stitching came loose & some discomfort
- Gender: Male
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
- Fit: True to size
I also have Nashbar knee warmers but these are a step up in quality and fit. I like that the LG knee warmers come in sizes. Some of the really cheap knee warmers are one size fits all which doesn?t work. I was happy to able to get a small sized knee warmer for my skinny legs (I?m 5?9? and 145 lbs.) and they work like knee warmers should. They cover my knee, go down to slightly below the knee, and sit slightly above my knee. My other knee warmers come up and go down way too far making them more like leg warmers. They grip well at the top and bottom and I haven?t had any problems with them bunching up under my knee which is a definite issue with the ones from Nashbar. The fabric feels good and they are fleece lined but not overly warm. I wore them in temps that were in the high 60?s and I kept them on all day. The seam occasionally causes annoyance on longer rides but it?s nothing too distracting. Overall they?re a decent knee warmer for $29 but I was disappointed that after two years the stitching for the grippers came loose. Next time I?ll try something different in hopes of better durability and comfort.
