if you were to buy them - don't size up

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it

Me: 5'9"/160/hips 40/waist 30.5/36C - 150+ miles a week
For these shorts, at least, the note in the sizing section that Giordana runs tight is incorrect. According to the sizing chart, I fall between L and XL, so I opted for the XL due to the note. Shorts were far too big - visibly baggy on me. Even in the correct size, the material of these shorts is very thin and they have very little compression. I have heard good things about Giordana, but these were a big disappointment - returned.

Try the F.R.C. line. I think that may be what you're looking for. You'll find more compression; higher tech. material; a more contoured chamois; and overall great looks (if that matters).

The 'Silverline' is more for the casual/intermediate rider. The cut/fit is more relaxed to accommodate the more 'average' cyclist. Giordana's *F.R.C. is for the more serious rider/racer. Its fit & tech. are geared accordingly.

In the F.R.C. you may indeed want to still 'order-up'.
