Still using it after a decade
- Gender: Female
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
Note that the specs on the website is WRONG. There is NO CHAINBREAKER on it. However, it does come with a mildly useful SERRATED KNIFE, FLAT HEAD SCREW DRIVER, and like all good tools - a BOTTLE OPENER.
I bought this multi tool as my first one and 10 years later, I'm still using it. I don't regret it. I used to be peeved that it didn't have a chain breaker and bought it separately. Now I'm still glad I have this because I'm throwing the chain breaker out as I've gone with a carbon belt drive. This has helped me with most of my on-trail fixings but I don't ride hard, just XC.
I did manage to get a couple tires off it before - but after the 3rd time the plastic bits started bending way too much that it can't lift the tire bead over the rims anymore. I'd recommend carrying separate tire levers from these, especially ones with hooks at the end like the Park TL-1 to keep one of the tire levers in place as you go around the rim with the other. You'll only need two, rarely 3, so leave the other one at home.
