Nordic or cycling or anything else

- Familiarity: I've used it several times
Nicely insulated without too much heft. It relies more on insulation than windblock in terms of the materials. It has pockets in the back so you can carry gels, etc. For Nordic you can match this with a proZero base layer and it's all the insulation you need. For cycling you may want a bit more windblocking action for winter riding, so add a jersey or something like that. My only complaint is that the jacket is a bit roomy in the sternum area. I wish it were tighter. When you're bent over and reaching for the bars the material & zipper poofs out a bit.
Also, from a sizing standpoint, if you're stuck between sizes, choose the smaller size of the two. I usually float between M and L, and was very happy with my choice of L.
