Best GoPro yet
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
My brother loves to film and take pictures. Before he had his own GoPro he would miss a first chair because he had to run across town to grab a GoPro from a friend. I bought him the original HD a couple of years ago for his birthday. The Hero3 came out and we decided to upgrade. He geeks out about electronics and was itching to try this out. I've used it a few times and am very impressed with the quality of the video. The images are sharper than the old GoPros. Straight lines actually appear straight. It's not the most intuitive camera on the market, but I noticed improvement in that area.
The app isn't as powerful as I had hoped. I've used it waterskiing and even at 22 off (53 feet behind the boat) the rider in the boat can't control the camera from their phone. It's not an inconvenience to me but I thought I would share the info.
This camera has so many bells and whistles and I haven't had a chance to try them all out. Overall we love the camera more than we did our Hero HD.
