Don't cut your ride short.

Club Ride’s primary focus is making sure that you look casual while you’re riding, but looking like the resident cool-guy pales in comparison to avoiding saddle sores. Accordingly, the boys in Sun Valley offer the Gunslinger Shorts with Chamois. Now you won’t have to sacrifice all-day comfort, just because you want to go for a ride in your favorite baggies.

The Gunslinger liner shorts start with a breathable, wicking, PowerMesh fabric. It’s highly adept at pulling moisture away from your skin, which works to keep you cool and dry. But the most important component is the Coolmax chamois pad, which keeps you comfortable, even on long rides.

The Club Ride Gunslinger Shorts with Chamois are available in four sizes, from Small to X-Large, and in the color Raven.

Anatomically Incorrect

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
  • Fit: Runs small
  • Size Bought: L

These fit quite tight, and as far as being anatomically correct, for me there was no room for my junk. It said right there on the really nice placard that it was attached - "Men's Specific Anatomically Shaped...Chamois Pad..." Ooooooh, for THAT part, I was thinking for the stuff that needs a place to be tucked and cradled. For MY part there was simply no room, and I'm no show'er.

I have no problems with standard spandex bike shorts size L - I'd try for an XL but we're already finishing summer I can get a regular pair down at Academy or whatever. Interesting details but these just didn't work for me.

Decent Chamois

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

The chamois was too padded and rigid for my preference. If you are prone to a sore behind on your rides the extra padding would be nice, but just not my cup of tea.

I went with the size large and it didn't fit quite right... had to return it and go with something else.

Although this didn't work out for me, I LOVE the CR jerseys. Classy and cool - they are perfect for the more mature riders looking for a great pub & trail jersey.

Barely know they're there!

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: Medium

These are my go to liners for sub-3 hour rides. They have the right amount of padding and great breakthability. They're so comfortable, I'll often where them all day on a weekend when I know I'll get a ride in sometime during the day. Totally comfortable while hiking, lounging, etc.

They work for me...

I agree with other comments that say these are bulky. I definitely feel like I'm wearing a diaper with these on. But, they do the job well when I'm riding - though, I wouldn't recommend them for circumstances that require walking for any period more than 30 minutes. They fit tightly against my skin, which I don't mind as I assume it keeps them from adjusting themselves.

A little diaper-ish

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size

I've been wearing the Pear Izumi liners but BC was out of stock so I decided to give these a go. First all, they are rather short which isn't a huge issue but I feel like I'm wearing booty shorts. Also, the chamois isn't as conformed as the one in my PI liners and definitely feel a lot more like a diaper. Maybe they just need to break in as I've only worn them a few times.

Overall, they do protect and do the job, but make sure to check out the Pearl Izumi liners as I HIGHLY prefer them over there.

...and the Gunslinger followed

Since beginning my experience as a daily bicycle commuter, I have realized how well the riding specific clothing works and invested in some chamois shorts. These Club Ride Gunslinger shorts work very well, so that urban commuters like myself that dont feel like sporting spandex can roll their bike dressed in jeans and a tee shirt without feeling sore in the saddle. Pair these with some chamois cream and ride in comfort!
