Great alternative

  • Familiarity:I've used it several times
  • Fit:True to size

I'm really psyched on these. They're a great alternative to a normal bike shoe. I ride alot in the city, and am on and off my bike. These are very comfortable and easy to walk in. The cleat still hits the ground when you walk, but the shape of the sol makes them very easy to walk in. Get the same size in these that you wear in Vans classics.

Are the shoes default sizes in UK or US dimensions?

Good SPD city shoe

The shoe is great. It has enough flexibily for when you're off the bike. Is good to walk around, but not for walking the entire day! I change the insole to get more cushioning (I recommend you to do that is you want to walk around for more than an hour like me). The material blocks very well the wind, and that's something I like since I'm in Canada and where I live the tempetures drop down to -20 easily.

The only bad experience was using UPS! They charged me 30 dollars of taxes when they suppose to charged me 10 dollars! So if you're planning to shipped to Canada, use the USPS option.

    Hate this Comany, Dangerous Product

    • Gender:Male
    • Familiarity:I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

There shoes are dangerous! CAUTION DO NOT BUY THESE SHOES. There is not enough rubber around the cleat so the slippery metal cleat - whether your ride Shimano SPD or Crank Brothers - pokes out especially when you walk! I hurt myself badly walking in these shoes across a smooth concrete slab, suddenly I lost traction and did a split! OUCH!

This upset me particularily because the salesperson in the Chrome store swore up and down that the cleat would not click. This turned out to be the first of many times Chrome was casual with the truth.

I tried to return the shoes but the online "Customer Service" told me they're un-returnable once the cleat was installed! Furthermore, she said, I can't mail the shoes back, have to return to the store in person. (This was hard because I bought them on a visit to SF.) After the return period, I went to the store to complain, and they were beyond rude. The salesperson said he'd ask a manager, then he walked around the store ignoring me for fifteen minutes. I asked him, did you get a manager, and he said, "yeah, she can't help you." WTF? I asked to see the manager who told me their shoes are fine and quoted policy, said she'd need an inventory number to do a swap. I complained about the crummy return/exchange policy, and the manager said most stores only do 10 days returns so I shouldn't complaint? WTF x2?? REI and Patagonia have LIFETIME returns, and Macy's etc. does at least 30. So yeah the shoes suck and if you complain a 20-year-old ornery manager (if you can find her) makes up fake store policies and lies about the competition. I left the shoes in the store, they are worse than nothing, and dealing with the Chrome company is worse than going to the dentist. F MINUS.

if you bought them from, they have unlimited returns.

I bought them directly from the Chrome store. They would not accept the return even with a receipt because I had mounted cleats. Nevermind the fact that I was not able to discover the problem (that the cleat extended beyond the rubber) until the cleat was mounted...
