Superior mobility and visibility for city rides.

If you're battling the elements on your bike ride into work while wearing the Chrome Men's Chrome Storm Cobra 2.0 Jacket, chances are that you'll emerge victorious. Waterproof and fully-breathable, this jacket is made from a tough tactel twill nylon fabric, and has a three-layer Chrome Storm laminate, keeping you dry and ventilated without looking overly technical.

Chrome equipped this jacket with its patent-pending Chrome Reveal Raglan pattern to maximize your visibility and mobility while you're on the bike, and then the reflectivity disappears while off of it to maintain that low-key, city style. Multiple pockets store your phone and wallet safely, while the rear stow pocket allows the jacket pack into itself when the weather turns nice. The three-panel, helmet-compatible hood allows you to stay dry through you're ride without sacrificing an ounce of safety.

Great jacket.

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: Medium

I live in Oregon and it rains here. It is not always cold so there is not always a need for a heavy rain coat. This jacket is perfect for me. I can wear it over a hoody or alone. The new interior of this jacket is more comfortable than the original Storm Cobra which was basically just rubber. The Storm Cobra 2.0 takes the ultra water and wind proof aspects of the original and kicks it up a notch or two. The hood is a good size, although I haven't tried to fit it over a helmet. There are two elastic draw cords in the hood allowing it to be tightened up nicely. There are four good sized pockets, all easily accessible and none of which allow water/wind to get in. If I were to have any complaints about this jacket it would be that there is no draw cord for the waist. This has not actually been an issue yet, but I can imagine a gust of wind going right up there. I love my Chrome stuff, this is no exception.

Big improvement over the original

I bought the original Storm Cobra when it came out about 2-years ago but had to return it. The stuck zipper was a huge inconvenience.

The 2.0 has the zipper problem fixed. It feels a little heavier gauge, which I think keeps me warmer than the old design. Waterproofing is superb even in heaving rain situations. The only gripe I have now is the hood won't go over my helmet, which is a nice feature on the Northface Bracket I had a couple years back. But overall, a good buy.
