Limus 33 Team Edition Tire - Tubular

It's a muddy cyclocross season, really muddy. So muddy, that you spend more time spinning your wheels than moving forward. Improve your traction by upgrading to a hand sewn tubular tire.

The Challenge Limus 33 Team Edition Tubular is designed specifically for deep, muddy courses. It uses the same 320 TPI (thread per inch) casing as its drier-weather partner, the Grifo 33 Team Edition. Higher TPI equates to a less rigid tire, which means it more easily conforms to the bumps and ruts in the course. This hand sewn tubular made from natural rubber, which is more supple than synthetic rubber, also features very low running pressures -- from 23-44psi. These come in handy on slippery mud, when every square millimeter of contact with the ground increases your ability to push forward.

The tread of the 33mm-wide Limus is a mid-height, well-spaced tread ideal for very muddy courses. It grips the ground and easily sheds excess mud, which helps keeps too much mud from weighing the bike down as the race progresses. Challenge adds an anti-puncture protection layer to each tire, making running low tire pressures less risky.
