Compression at its best.

If you're able to think of anything off of your wishlist that isn't included in the CEP Dynamic+ Women's Triathlon Skinsuit, you've got a longer wishlist than we do. This skinsuit actually provides graduated, medical-grade compression, flatlock stitched, anatomically placed seams, and Coldblack finish. Basically, this suit has everything that we've been seeking, and then a little bit more.

And on the subject of fatigue, we'll jump into the main draw of the Dynamic+ triathlon skinsuit, its compressive qualities. You hear the term 'compression' thrown out there often. However, its true meaning, especially for race-day applications, is typically shrouded in ubiquity. So, forget what you've heard about lactic acid suppression, and enter into the world of enhanced blood circulation. Without getting too scientific, CEP designed the Dynamic+ shorts-section to have different strengths of compression in accordance to a position's distance from the heart. This is also known as graduated compression. So, the further from the heart, the stronger the fabric compression, and the closer to the heart, the lower the compression. Basically, this design places a pressure on the veins and arteries that forces the circulatory system to work faster. Accordingly, your muscles receive more oxygen, and thus muscle fatigue is thoroughly reduced. Meanwhile, power outputs and thresholds are increased.

Not surprisingly, while the aforementioned attributes would be enough for most to call it a day, CEP was just getting started. For the actual fit of the Dynamic+ skinsuit, CEP approached the cut with an anatomic, multi-paneled, and contoured designed. This means that the panels are meant to support specific muscle groups, while the shape perfectly conforms to the body throughout the various motions of a triathlon. In fact, CEP claims that the shorts-section of the skinsuit has been proven to reduce injuries ranging from pulled hamstrings, injured quads, and IT band issues. Furthering this concept of uninhibiting support, you'll also notice that the suit features a high-cut neckline, inset armholes, and a jump-in-zipper.

And while, yes, the skinsuit does feel quite tight at first, you'll quickly notice that it doesn't inhibit movement at all. This is due to the selective placement of two fabrics with different deniers and compositions. Additionally, the legs feature a seamless construction, while the few seams that actually do exist have been designed to lay flat. Furthering the comfort, CEP engineering its fabrics to be highly breathable, moisture managing, and UV protective, with a rating of 50+. In fact, the skinsuit has been treated with Coldblack technology. In a brief summary, this treatment reflects the sun's rays instead of absorbing them like most dark colors do. As a result, Coldblack claims that it deflects 80% of the sun's heat rays, resulting in a surface temperature that's around 41 degrees Fahrenheit lower than a standard black fabric.

For the chamois, the Dynamic+ Triathlon skinsuit features CEP's triathlon-specific insert. Developed specifically for triathlon, this chamois uses a 3mm, variable density padding. This design provides a targeted level of support to key regions of the body, while tapering off where it isn't needed. As a result, the chamois efficiently moves with your body, not against it. This reduces the risk of abrasion, while also eliminating unwanted pressure on nerves like the pudendal. CEP also selected the chamois' fabrics and padding to be resistant to water absorption. So, you'll have a consistently dry race after T1.

The CEP Dynamic+ Women's Triathlon Skinsuit is available in five sizes from I to V and in the colors Black, Black/blue, and Black/red. Please note that, although the suit will feel initial tight, CEP products are fairly true to size. In other words, don't panic when you see how small the leg openings appear.
