What community has to say
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
It seems that the incredible usefulness and effectiveness of compression socks has been hijacked by the Triathlon community as a fashion statement. Although wearing compression socks in public screams "I just did some exercising," wearing these socks in private is provides excellent recovery after difficult workouts. The graduated compression starts tight at the bottom and slowly reduces compression to facilitate bloodflow, which is somewhat unique to CEP. Having been in the multisport industry for a few years, I've had free samples of compression socks to try from a several major brands, and the CEP's are the only ones I can honestly say that I'd pay full retail for. These are not something I'd wear every day, but a great piece of equipment to have.
I can't decide
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
I got these to help with Achilles pain. You can tell over a few hours that the compression is real. After 15+ uses the elasticity is still good.
I can't actually say it helped with my problems, and the socks have some serious pilling after about 25 uses. I will say my legs do generally feel better after I ride in these..
