Item # KAT000I

Considering all the accolades it's won from the media and the votes in dollars and miles it's enjoyed with cyclists the world over, Catlike had no call to branch out in different design directions with the latest Leaf Helmet. Fortunately, it heeded that lack of a call, and the Leaf returns unchanged for another generation of inimitable comfort at an unbeatable price.

The Leaf's success may owe to Catlike's roots in road helmet technology, which have been implemented here to great effect. Like the road-specific Whisper, the Leaf uses a process called In-Mold, where the outer and inner layers of the helmet are molded to become one piece. This process increases impact resistance and improves diffusion of crash energy. For crashes where the back of your head takes the brunt of impact, Catlike incorporated its Low Nape Protection toward the lower rear structure of the helmet.

Outside of safety, Catlike's goal is to provide you with a lightweight helmet that has ample ventilation. The Leaf's 23 air intakes feed into the Dual Flow design, which involves a series of internal air channels and rear exhaust ports. Dual Flow creates a constant air stream through the helmet to keep you cool during hot days on the singletrack.

For adjustment, Catlike implemented its patented Multi Positioning System Evo (MPS eVo) at the rear of the helmet. Essentially, this system allows the adjustment of the rear section of the helmet in multiple dimensions. So, with one retention adjustment, you can change the position of the helmet's rear both up-and-down and open-and-close. Two final details finish the Leaf: a sun and rain visor and an insect net. The former speaks for itself, but the latter is an ingenious inclusion that keeps any unwanted visitors from getting stuck in your vents or hair. If you've ever been stung by a helmet-trapped bee, then you'll appreciate this. If you haven't, well, we think you'll still appreciate it.
