Even though it's styled with aerodynamics as first priority, the Catlike Chrono Aero Plus Helmet uses their Dual Flow Technology to keep you cool while you go fast. It's simple -- cool air can flow in through two wind tunnel shaped ports in the front, through channels inside the structure of the helmet, over your head, and finally out the exhaust ports in the tail of the helmet.
The fit of the helmet is very good. Specifically, the portion that covers the ears is molded to fit right against your head. Catlike uses open cell foam, like you'd find on goggles, to pad the flaps against your ears. The Chrono Aero has a molded underbelly that curves nicely around the back of your head, and it makes the helmet look like the underside of an F1 racecar. It covers the entire rearward portion of the bottom of the helmet's tail, save for a triangular exhaust port at the very back.
In our minds, these two things give the Catlike Chrono a custom feel, as if our personal team mechanic had stayed up into the wee hours of the morning preparing our kit for the next day's all-important timed event, leaving no stone unturned. And that "custom" fit and feel translates into a slicker, faster helmet. Speaking of fit, the dial-to-perfection retention system is quick and super easy to use, even with one hand.
The Catlike Chrono Aero Plus Helmet is available in Black/White, and Red/White and it comes in one size that fits 55-60cm heads. The in-mold construction creates a one piece shell/liner that is both safe and lightweight.
Please note: US Catlike dealers are prohibited from shipping Catlike Helmets outside of the United States.
