Whether you're looking to chart your steps throughout the day, how far or fast you rode, or both, the CatEye Fit will accommodate your curiosity. This computer has been designed to record the basic metrics of both cycling and running. So, you'll find that its small size is equally at home mounted to your bike as it is walking in your pocket.
While the Fit is designed for both riding and walking, it still includes most of the functionality of CatEye's cycling line of computers. While in the saddle, you'll find that the Fit records and displays your current, average, and maximum speed. Additionally, you gain access to metrics like elapsed time, trip distance, the time, and your calorie consumption.
And when you're done with your ride, CatEye made it possible to switch from Bike Mode to Walk Mode. Simply dismount the Fit from your bike, drop it in your pocket, and you're ready to record a new set of data. In this mode, the Fit displays your steps, walking time, walking distance, and calorie consumption, all in either daily or weekly totals. And if you're interested in the benefits that your exercise has on the environment, the Fit also records your carbon offset.
The CatEye Fit is available in a 46.0 x 49.0 x 19.5mm size and in the colors Black, Red, and White. Please note that each Fit includes a corresponding battery and a sensor for use on the bike.

- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
I bought 3 of these and returned 2 of them. The one I bought is now going in the trash.
This is the most poorly designed and thought out cyclometer I have ever purchased. The programming is so non-intuitive that it is amazing that they could even come up with a simple device like this that is so difficult, nearly impossible, to program. The design itself is very poor, and the thing is very easily damaged, especially the mounting bracket, to the point where once broken it becomes totally useless.
No matter what cyclometer you buy, if it is another one than this one, you will be better off.

It tracks how much you eat? Is that what calorie consumption refers to or does it mean calories burned?
This refers to a preprogrammed formula that gives you a estimated calories burned while working out. Typically, this number is a gross overstatement of actual calories burned. If you are looking for a way to track calories eaten, look into smart phone capable apps that can track exercise and eating.
