Castelli Velocissimo Equipe Vest $0.00
Winter doesn't always require a jacket
For the days where you catch a lucky break in the crawl of winter weather, the Castelli Velocissimo Equipe Vest is your go-to for lightweight protection from temperate weather. The Velocissimo vest will keep you warm, without sweating buckets, by providing ample protection from tormenting winds. Choose the right gear, and get out on the road.
The Castelli Velocissimo Equipe Vest uses the W.L. Gore Windstopper X-Lite Plus fabric -- the same fabric used for Roger Hammond's favorite jersey, the Gabba WS. Developed in partnership with Castelli, this fabric allows the fit of a jersey with the wind protection of a jacket. The end result is a breathable winter vest that's effective at temperatures as low as 50 degrees. While the Windstopper fabric is used on the front and shoulders, the back features the heavy-wicking Velocity fabric for further temperature regulation. The Velocissimo Vest is fully windproof and water-resistant, and features a tall collar for protection from exposure. At around 90 grams, the Velocissimo is easily packable as a stowaway for easy use when you need it, and to forget about it when you don't.
The Castelli Men's Velocissimo Equipe Vest is available in six sizes from Small to XXX-Large, and in colors Acid Green/white/black, Black/white, and Red/white/black.

- Familiarity: I've used it several times
Fantastic wind resistance in the front and plenty breathable on the back. My favorite part however, it the waterproof portion that covers you rear pockets. Brilliant! Not to mention great color options. Fits as anything from Castelli does, one size small.
Good jacket, even better color options.
Does anyone know if the back of this vest...
Does anyone know if the back of this vest is also water resistant (same as the front)? Is this vest fleece lined on the inside, or is it a thin material that's easily compressible into a jersey pocket? And lastly, are there any rear pockets or a zipper to access the pockets underneath the vest like other Castelli vests have? Thanks.
