Castelli Trasparente Wind Long Sleeve Jersey $0.00
You’ll huff, puff, and blow past the competition.
With the weight of a jersey and the warmth of a jacket, the Castelli Trasparente Full Zip Long Sleeve Wind Jersey offers wind and splash resistance in a stylish, lightweight package.
The Trasparente Jersey is a bit of a cross between the two. It's constructed using a combination Windstopper X-Lite Stretch and Warmer fabrics to produce a long sleeve jersey that's windproof up front like a lightweight jacket, but breathable in the back to allow moisture and sweat to evaporate like a jersey would. These two fabrics, when combined with a form-fitting cut, create a garment that can be worn by itself or in combination with a base layer (such as Castelli's Iride Seamless base layer) in cool, windy conditions. If you're lucky enough to live in an area where winter is on the mild side, the Trasparente might even serve as your go-to piece of winter outerwear.
The Trasparente Long Sleeve Wind Jersey shares many features with Castelli's winter jackets including camlock zippers that stay flat against the jersey, as well as an elastic waist gripper and a low-cut back to keep the jersey from riding up while you're on the bike. A zippered-front pocket is perfect for your cell phone or keys, while three traditional rear pockets are more than enough for whatever gear you want to carry. Reflective piping on the front of the jersey and two rear reflective tabs aid visibility in low-light conditions. We're also big fans of the Trasparente's high collar and the extra length Castelli added to the jersey's sleeves. Both features keep the wind out, while ensuring a smooth, snug transition to whatever gloves or headwear you might be wearing.
The Castelli Trasparente Full Zip Long Sleeve Wind Jersey is available in four color combinations -- Black/white, Cyan/black/white, Red/white/black, and White/black. It comes in six sizes from Small through XXX-Large. Like most Castelli clothing, the Trasparente is designed to be form-fitting as the technical fabrics used to construct the garment work best when in close contact with your body -- be sure to check the sizing chart to ensure proper fit.
- Warmer fabric on back remains highly breathable
- High collar reduces exposed neck area
- Elastic gripper on waist limits jersey ride-up
- Stay-put wrist closures with thumb loops give you full arm protection
- Reflective piping and flag let motorists see you better when the sun checks out early

Can You Fall In Love With Clothing
From Australia, where my winters don't get down below 1 Deg. C (33.8 Deg. F) too often, I can wear this without base layers down to 3 Deg. C (37 Deg. F) sometimes the arms are a little cold but the chest area with high collar, keep the torso and neck warm. Materials all quality and the top drys out nice and quick after the ride too or even after a wash so you can put it back on and get out there again. The fit is snug and cut beautifully, this top is in the style category of cycling clothes as far as I am concerned.
What can I say about this top that won't sound like words from a person that is blinded by this top's qualities. I have 3 of these and during winter they are the top I choose, from my wardrobe, almost every ride. I wear a Large in Pearl and the same in Castelli so while I can appreciate peoples comments on up-sizing Castelli I think it is a very personal thing when it comes to fit, not easy when buying over the web I know.
Great jersey. Nice design, pretty much replaces a wind vest for cool days. It runs a little warmer than a typical thermal LS jersey, and fits a little looser than their other LS jerseys, so you can layer underneath it and use it as a close-fitting jacket if it isn't too cold. W/base layer, good down to the low 40's: low to mid 50's without a baselayer. Runs true to Castelli sizing; if the chart says you are a medium, then you are a medium. Except with one pair of bib shorts, I have always found their size charts to be extremely accurate, so I would not recommend to "size up" even though it seems that is what others recommend. Maybe their tape measures are broken? My specs: 30 inch waist, 38.5 inch chest, 5 foot 9: this fits me perfectly in medium, just like the chart said it would. The large is much too big, unless you want to wear a down sweater underneath. Seems to be built well, and fit is tailored to a cycling position
Downsides: lacking windproof material all the way out the sleeves. If you are wearing a SS baselayer on a crisp day, your arms will be cold. Wish they had extended the windstopper material out to the cuffs.

Does the windproof fabric cover the fronts of the arms in addition to the torso?
No, it doesn't. wish it did though; my arms get cold easily.

Does anyone know what the color on the back side of the Red Jersey is? Black or Red?
The back of the red jacket is all black with white shoulders.
Looks like mostly black.

Is there someone that can measure size L or XL? Front, Back, arms and chest. I am confused and don´t know if I should order L or XL. According to the size table L but after reading reviews......
I'm a typical large on Jerseys, even wear Medium size v-neck T-shirts with Gap/B. Republic, and I have the XL of the Castelli which fits me like a glove. I absolutely love it. perfect on those 6-10 degrees Celsius rides here in winter Australia. Get XL, you won't regret.
This is a great looking jersey. It's form fitted, but feels very comfortable because of the fabric. Choose 1 size larger for best fit. Great for rides that are on the cool side, but not cold enough for a jacket. Looks great and gives you a lot of confidence on the road.
Nice snug fit, sleeves are just a tad short but I have REALLY long arms. This is an XXL and I am 6'5" and 195 lbs. Probably will want to buy a size up from normal.

Any Castelli dealer can order it.
This is a nice jersey - well made and nice features but the fit is somewhat odd.
I'm 6"2 and lean 32" waist 175lbs and ordered the large. I like a race fit and around the torso and waist it fits perfectly. However it is too narrow in the shoulders and the collar is too loose. I get the feeling that the cut is designed for a more compact muscled euro body rather than a thin road racers build.
Putting the fit aside the windstopper front panel works well and there is a handy zip pocket on the front that doubles as vent if it gets too toasty. Sleeves are a bit of a let down. The fleeced fabric for the sleeves is much lighter than the body resulting in your arms getting a bit cold. A better match of fabrics would work better. Like the collar I found the sleeves quite loose but this might be because of my thin build. Not fussed on the thumb loop - I found it uncomfortable. You can wear it without hooking your thumb through but this then leaves a hole around your wrist where cold air can get in.
This is a nice jersey, but it could be better.

Three water bottle pockets
yup, that's 3.
This Jersey has a good fit, not to tight or too loose, and the materials are first rate. TD
