Sweat is great, unless it's in your eyes.

None of us want sweat dripping in our eyes. But none of us want to wear head gear that will leave a deep indentation circling our heads after a long, hot ride, either. The Castelli Summer Headband is so soft against your forehead, that you won't even remember you are wearing it. It has a non-aggressive hold that will prevent any potential indentations. The poly fabric is tailor made to wick sweat away from your forehead, keeping it out of your eyes.

The Castelli Summer Headband has a Uni Size, which means that it will fit you unless you have a head the size of a newborn baby or a rhino. It comes in Black/White, so will surely match all your other Castelli items.

No more stinging eyes; for a while

  • Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer

I am very impressed with the thin construction of this headband; it fits very well under a helmet. I typically do not have an issue with sweat running down my face, but with my current helmet, needed a little help. This headband was the perfect solution. On very hot days or long climbs, it can become completely saturated, allowing a bit of sweat down your forehead.

I also use this for indoor training, so it does get very saturated there, and have yet to have sweat escaping down my face in this environment.

Life saver

Very simple piece of equipment but works like a dream. I hate when sweat drips into my eyes and down my face. This sweat headband eliminates that problem. Can't ride without it. Very light weight material.

Not great for heavy sweaters

I sweat A LOT, this helps, but after a while it is soaked and the sweat begins to drip down my face into my eyes anyways....I find myself taking it off wringing it out and putting it back on when on longer sucked into purchasing it because of the look and brand, not very functional for me. It helps but not enough. Again maybe someone who doesn't sweat a lot will be taken care of by this band.

Wicks w the best of them.

  • Familiarity:I've used it several times

I read the reviews before ordering two of these sweatbands, one in each color. Unlike some of the other reviews, I liked this band in terms of performance. I had no sweat in my eyes whatsoever. The band was soaking wet upon completion of my ride, so it did it's job. In terms of comfort, I found it a bit snug an scratchy, but I have a lot of hair. I guess I am spoiled by the soft winter castelli headbands. I am Keeping both of them and overall they work as stated. They get 3 stars for their tight scratchy fit, but I would give them 5 stars for their wicking ability.

Over Priced - under performer

  • Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer

I do like the thinness of this headband, but it does not perform as described. On hot summer days the head band does not prevent sweat going in your eyes. There are cheaper options that perform just as well.

Just ok

An OK headband. Slim, so it fits beneath my helmet. But it doesn't absorb as much sweat as others, like the Halo sweatbands, and so sweat eventually drips in your eyes.
