Arm warmers are popular for cool weather riding, but sometimes the jersey you are placing them under isn't warm enough for your core. When this happens, it's better to ditch the warmers and go with a cool weather long-sleeve jersey such as the Castelli Sfida Fill-zip.

Castelli is known for designing both functional as well as graphically bold kits. The Sfida is no exception. Warmer fabric was used in two versions on the jersey. First, it used the traditional panels on the front to keep your core sheltered from the cold. Second, it used its newer Warmer X-Stretch on the sleeves. This soft, stretchy, warm fabric allows for optimal elbow bend while in riding position so you won't have to tug and pull your sleeves into place. Additionally, a silicone gripper was added at the waist to keep the jersey in place and to seal out cold.

For all of your winter riding essentials, Castelli included three large back pockets. Reflective tabs sewn into rear seams increase low-light visibility for those days when you are so comfy in your Sfida jersey that you end up riding until dusk.

The Castelli Sfida Long Sleeve, Full-zip jersey is available in sizes Small to XXX-Large and in four graphically bold colorways: White/yellow fluo/black, Black/white/grey, Black/white/red, and Black/white/orange.

How to Measure:
For best results, take measurements over your underwear.
Measure under your arms, around the fullest part of your chest.
Measure around your natural waistline, keeping the tape a bit loose.
Measure around the fullest part of your body at the top of your legs.
Using pants that fit well, measure the crotch seam to the bottom of the leg.

Here's what others have to say...

Solid quality meeting all expectations

  • Gender:Male
  • Familiarity:I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

This is solid quality which pretty much meets all expectations for a cool weather jersey. Love the zipper front. Just wish I had bought an XL vice XXL (based on sizing charts recommendation). I'm 5"11, 187# with 43 (barrel) chest. The jersey fit great around my chest but was slightly baggy in waist and arms. Nevertheless, I'm satisfied with purchase, but just a little wiser IRT sizing

Great jersey for layering !

  • Familiarity:I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

This is my second Sfida jersey and it does not disappoint! Great for layering when the temperature is between zero at 10c. I combined this with my Pazzo jacket and a base layer and was able to keep really warm on some of the longer 100k rides when the temp was hovering around 5c and the cold winds were out of the north! Castelli never seems to disappoint and am looking forward to the warmer days to wear on its own!

Spring Clothing

  • Familiarity:I've used it several times
  • Fit:True to size

Great looking good fitting Jersey for the spring weather here in Loveland CO. I use small in all Castelli products and find this one is true to size.

Nice Long Sleeve Jersey

  • Familiarity:I've used it several times
  • Fit:Runs small

As usual Castelli doesn't disappoint. This is a really nice long sleeve jersey and it does an outstanding job of keeping you warm on those chilly days when temps. range from 50 to 65 degrees. Personally I don't cycle much when the temp drop below 50 degrees so I can't comment on its performance in temps. below 50 degrees. Like most Castelli Jersey's, it runs small. I'm a true medium (160 lbs. and 67 inches tall) but I ordered a large and it fits great.

Nice but expected better quality

  • Familiarity:I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit:Runs small

I've bought Castelli shirts for years, despite their price. They have always come out with great material that's particularly nice to wear in the California "winter" where the sun warms things up nicely, but the air is still cool. This jersey is perfect for the critical zone between 52 and 62 degrees, meaning it's still cool when you leave in the morning, but then it warms up. This jersey keeps you warm, but doesn't let you overheat. It doesn't have a windstopper built in, but because of the tight weaving, blocks out some air nevertheless, which also keeps you nice and cool once things have warmed up.

Unfortunately, I'm returning the jersey because a seam at the arm ripped after first time use. Disappointing for this price. I've ordered 2 more, and hope their manufacturing quality will be better. When you buy one, take a good lock to make sure it's ok.

I'm 5'10'' and 200 lbs, so the race cut jerseys don't fit me. With Castelli, I always buy one size larger, so XL usually fits me. However, I found that the Castellli shirts are all cut very differently. The race cut ones like Free or Audace don't fit me. They run too tight around the chest even in XL. The Velocissimo fit well, but I prefer the more loose cut of the Sfida.
