Rosso Corsa is the designation Castelli uses for their best gear. The Rosso Corsa socks are their best, and since Italians value style you can rest assured that they come in several cuff lengths. The Rosso Corsa 13 comes in a 13cm cuff, the longest Castelli makes.

The Rossa Corsa are woven with Meryl Skinlife antibacterial fibers. The sock is thus wicking, will feel dry pretty much in just about every circumstance save a rainstorm. The top of the foot is a diaphanous web, ultra-thin and extremely breathable. In the middle of the foot, the arch area, there is a high-density band woven in. You won't notice any difference in thickness, but you will feel like the sock is becoming one with your foot rather than sliding around between your foot and your shoe. The toe has a flat seam for comfort and the cuff at the top is folded over to keep the sock from slipping.

The Castelli Rosso Corsa 13 Sock comes in two colors: Black and White. The toes, heels, mid-foot band, and cuff logos are in contrasting colors. Sizes are S/M, L/XL, and 2XL.

  • Meryl Skinlife antimicrobial fabric
  • 13-centimeter cuff length
  • High-density mid-foot band
  • Flat stitching along toe

Summer socks

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Great fit and detailing. The thinner fabric on top helps keep you from getting swamp foot.

I love Castelli socks. GREAT fit, quality, ventilation, looks. And made in Italy (unlike most of Castelli's other gear).

The fit chart may be a little off. I'm a 45 euro in Sidi and Shimano (10.5 USA). And the L/XL -does- fit.

However, if your foot is 46 euro or larger, I would definitely go with the XXL.

Top sock

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

The corsa socks are great summer socks. Fit snug and keep your dogs breathing.

Favorite socks

My new favorite socks. They are tall enough to look PRO even on my super long legs and size 47 feet. They stay put without bunching in the toe. They don't chafe in the rain. They are a summer sock -- nice and thin around the foot with no half-cocked attempts at "compression". If you prefer the Swiftwick thickness, these may not be for you.

Perfect socks

Excellent socks. These Castelli Rosso's are just the right length that I like. They are longer than most bike socks around. They feel comfortable in my shoes and are both thin and sweat wicking as you need.

They're socks. They fit great (tight and tall) and do the job in typical Castelli fashion. I like.

Killer socks man!

These are by far my favorites socks to date. Tall and comfy and with that PRO look how can you go wrong? Perfect for those warmer rides, so you don't come home with a swamp foot.

Is the cuff on this sock taller than 6"?
