In a marked departure from its classic red and black color palette, Castelli partnered with Colorado-based Rodeo Adventure Labs to create the Rodeo Jersey. Its streamlined construction has racing in mind, and the eye-catching graphics pay homage to the Colorado landscape ranging from desert, to prairie, to the beckoning climbs of the Rockies beloved by the jersey's designer and the team it was created for.

For the jersey's main body, Castelli starts with its dimpled Velocity fabric, crafted with tightly-woven fibers that actively guide air over your shoulders as you're stretched out in your drops during the heady moments of a final sprint. According to Castelli, wind tunnel testing demonstrates that the fabric saves 12 watts at 40kmh compared to a standard race-fit jersey, allowing you to expend less energy over the course of a race without sacrificing speed.

To Castelli, race-fit translates into jerseys that not only possess a second-skin fit, but will feel slightly short and tight across the chest and shoulders while standing. Though the fit may not feel ideal off the bike, it molds to your body as soon as you are in a riding position. As we know to expect with any Castelli fabric, Velocity is also extremely adept at transferring moisture away from your skin so that it can evaporate at the surface of the quickly-drying, lightweight fabric. Castelli also adds mesh raw-edge arm grippers, somewhat of a no-brainer design now that they've been perfected. Raw edges reduce the likelihood of chafing or irritation and create less drag over the miles with their lie-flat profile.

Readying the jersey for your next criterium or road race, Castelli adds finishing touches like a silicone gripper elastic at the bottom hem to prevent distracting movement and fabric bunching and a full-length YKK Vislon zipper with a neck protector. The standard complement of three rear pockets is supplemented with an additional, zippered pocket to securely house absolute essentials you can't afford to lose on course.

  • Velocity dimpled fabric
  • 1 zippered, 3 open rear pockets
  • Neck-protecting zipper flap
  • Raw-edge sleeves

An aero-fit jersey

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: Medium

I usually buy large in Castelli jerseys, but lately the large felt a bit loose. So I tried a medium on sale. It is quite snug, esp. at the waist (I'm 31''), but so comfortable. I like that it is not too long and does not hang over my rear end. I have larger shoulders and biceps and it still ha room. This is now my favorite jersey. It's thin enough I've used it as a base layer under a long sleeve jersey, which worked great.

Nice design colorful comfortable

  • Fit: Runs small
  • Size Bought: Large

Nice comfortable breathable colorful, but it runs small.
One size up!

It's Tight But It's Right

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: Runs small

I am new to Castelli, so the sizing rule of thumb for me seems to be go up one size. I now own three, two short, one long sleeve, all XL for me. Love the one zippered pocket. The jersey stays put no riding up on me and it's long enough. It does run Tight.

I got the right size based on measurements what typically is Large is XL for Castelli, but even with the XL I could have gotten away with XXL. I have a long torso and typically take a 40~42 Long jacket. I don't have a lot of muscles and but this thing is TIGHT. Beyond that I LOVE it. Rode 50 miles in it solo on a hot day. Loved the COLOR on first site.

I felt faster - fo' sure. Enjoy your Ride.

It's Tight But It's Right

A handsome graphic that feels great! Snug race fit, no bunching, and the shoulders fit exactly as explained in the product description. I always wear jerseys with a mesh underlayer to help wick moisture and stay cool. No complaints, works well. It's tough to find jerseys that accomodate broad shoulders and don't bag and flap around the waist. Size up one.

Great Jersey

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: Runs small
  • Size Bought: XL

Really like the weight of this jersey. It's a race fit. Great for >45 degrees with a layer under. I usually wear a large (pearl izumi, ...). XL fits great.

Race fit and well ventilated, perfect

  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: Medium

I just got the jersey and tried it on and it's perfect, so I just ordered the other color as well a matching pair of Volo bib shorts. I'm a small 5'7", 32 waist, 38.5 chest. Medium is a snug, aero fit.

Race fit
-Well ventilated, especially the material on the back
-Nice extra zipped pocket
-Goes perfect with the Volo bib shorts in similar color if you can't get the Rodeo bib shorts in the same colors

I Love it.

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: XXL

Fit is true to Castelli "race fit" I am a XXL in all my other Castelli gear and it fit's just like you would expect based on measurements. Look past you normal sizing and measure if you are new to the Castelli brand. It fits just like you would expect a race cut jersey to, tight in all the right places but never too much pressure. Temps were in the mid 80's the other day and temperature control was not an issue.

Slim fit, adventure ready

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: Large

Full disclosure: I designed these jerseys so I'm not impartial. I've had both of color versions these jerseys for a number of months now and have put some serious miles into them both on road and off. They really are a more performance fit not a loose club fit, and I like that about them. I like the addition of the small rear zip pocket used for valuables in addition to the three standard pockets. Opinions on the design are completely subjective, but I like that the jersey is different things from different angles. It is more minimal from the front, and has a bit dose of color on the back. I wear size L in practically every Castelli product, and this jersey fits true to standard sizing.
