Castelli Prologo 3 Cycling Jersey - Long-Sleeve - Men's $99.95
One jersey instead of three.
With the soaring prices of cycling apparel and equipment these days, versatility becomes more and more important. Some companies act like you need a different two-hundred dollar jersey for each five-degree temperature variation. That's why it's so nice to see Castelli, one of the most respected names in Italian cycling apparel, designing clothing with three-season versatility in mind. The Castelli Prologo 3 Jersey, for example, offers fatigue-reducing comfort across a wide range of temperatures and weather conditions.
Castelli constructed the Prologo 3 from its proprietary Stratus fabric. This material features a dual-layer composition that's been designed with moisture transport as its primary goal. To achieve this, the 100% polyester inner-layer pulls sweat away from the skin, transferring it to the thin, microfiber outer-layer. The duality creates soft, breathable, and quick-drying system that feels light and airy on the skin. Additionally, Castelli also gave the jersey its patented Prosecco treatment. This process is a topical, hydrophilic treatment that spreads moisture out over a larger surface area for rapid evaporation. Ultimately, it keeps you cooler and drier over your race or club ride.
For ventilation, Castelli inserted a mesh panel across the the back of the jersey. You'll also find a full-length YKK zipper running the course of the front panel. So, with a quick zip, you can control your temperature on long climbs without overheating.
Adding to that design is a full-length camlock zipper that allows ventilation fine tuning that won't migrate when pedaling. The Prologo 3's lower hem has a wide silicon gripper to prevent riding up, and the three rear pockets are secure and easy to reach when riding. Castelli also added a zippered key pocket to ensure that your keys are still with you at the end of your ride.
The Castelli Long-Sleeve Prologo 3 has a full compliment of reflective elements for low-light safety, and it's available in Black/red and White/black with sizes ranging from Small through to XXX-Large.

Nicer than I expected!
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
This Castelli long sleeve jersey is great. The sleeves are the right length, neither too long or short. The weight is nice and the fabric soft. It's not fleecy inside like you would want for a very-cold weather garment. Without a base layer, I would be comfortable in this jersey up to the mid-60's. With sleeveless or sleeved based layer, I have been comfortable down to mid forties. Below that something warmer is needed, at least for me. I am very glad I bought this long sleeve jersey.
