Item # CST007M

Tech meets tradition.

Ever since it released the first publicly available Lycra shorts in 1977, Castelli has proven that it knows cycling. The brand's legacy is one of innovation and history coexisting peacefully, and maybe no item bearing the iconic scorpion logo embodies this tech/tradition harmony better than the Presa Gloves. They're made from micromesh with an AX Suede palm, materials that stress breathability and durability, respectively, and feature some modern, sublimated branding. In contrast, the minimalist design and slip-on cuff recall the barely there racing gloves of yesteryear.

For less than $11 it's all I need

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: Runs small
  • Size Bought: XL

Based on other reviews regarding size, like most Castelli items, my large hands went with XL, and they are spot-on! Snagged them for less than $11. Not looking for BIFL (buy it for life) quality, if it lasts a season then it's golden!

minimalist glove

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I like a pretty minimal glove and also no velcro closure so I have these a try. So far about 3 months of use and no problems. they did run small so i bought the next size up and they weren't a ton different (S-M) so I actually wear both.

low profile

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

These gloves don't inhibit your touch of the handlebars in any way yet the subtle gel pads do minimize the shock on your hands. They are a little tricky to get off but they don't feel tight at all while on. The suede is really nice as well. I would highly recommend them for a lightweight summer glove.
