Castelli Nero Classic Bib Knickers $0.00
We hold on as long as we can into the fall season, applying embro, wearing knee warmers for the early part of the ride, and waiting until late morning to get going, all to continue riding bare-legged. But, at some point, it's just too cold throughout the entire day to waste the time going through the motions anymore. When you hit that point, grab the Castelli Nero Classic Bib Knickers and simplify your routine. The Nero Classics are ideal for days when a full Roubaix knicker isn't necessary, but your summer-weight bib shorts and warmers aren't cutting it either. Or, if you run particularly warm and your winter is mild, they may be all you need to make it through the colder months.
The limited edition Nero Classic Bib Knickers utilize some of Castelli's time-tested technologies, including a KISS3 chamois and Action Micro fabric, to produce knickers that are lightweight, yet durable and comfortable, yet stylish. The Action Micro is used through the legs of the shorts to wick moisture away from your skin while you're riding.
The KISS3 chamois is one of Castelli's longest-running models, and with good reason. It has an extremely low profile while still providing the support and comfort necessary on long rides. It has multiple densities of foam padding, with the highest-density foam placed right under your sit bones. In short, it'll keep you comfortable without making you feel like you're wearing a diaper.
The Castelli Nero Classic Bib Knickers are Black and come in six sizes from Small to XXX-Large.
- KISS3 chamois conforms to your shape for a comfortable, chafe-free fit
- Silicone grippers keep the knickers at the perfect height
- Breathe Lycra wicks moisture while supporting muscles
Note: Castelli has a "Euro" slimmer fit. We suggest ordering at least one size larger than your normal US size.
- How to Measure:
- For best results, take measurements over your underwear.
- Measure under your arms, around the fullest part of your chest.
- Natural Waist:
- Measure around your natural waistline, keeping the tape a bit loose.
- Measure around the fullest part of your body at the top of your legs.

Good Quality at a K-Mart Price!!1!
I got these as a base layer to wear under my Winter bibs. Due to the type of material used on this knicker it's basically a Summer bib with longer leg sections. I'm 185.5cm/102kg and the XXXL fits me well. Not tight
The biggest selling factor is, however, the sale price. After buying one and deciding to keep it I bought another one! And if they're still available in another month I'll probably buy a third so I can rotate their use as I ride all Winter long.
good for short ride
These are good for shorter rides (2-3 hours) the seams aren't flat so the tend to rub after a while and they also run right down the back of the knee (at least for me). I do like the KISS3 chamois.
Good if you're looking for a inexpensive knicker for shorter rides.
A perfect non-roubaix, non-thermal knicker bib. Fit is right. Style is right. Decent chamois. 6 ft, 180, size XL. Made in Morocco.
Pretty happy with these, considering they are about the cheapest knickers you can get. Nothing fancy, no fleece lining, etc. but they do the job, and they do it well. I am 6'0", 175 lbs, the large size fits just about perfect. If you want to take the decals off, use a little rubbing alcohol and apply with a cloth over the decal for a few minutes, it comes right off and you'll have a pair of generic, all black, well functioning knickers for a measly $60.
Great price on a great product
How good are these? I just ordered a second pair!
the fit is nice... I'm an xxl and these knickers are comfy. I am really surprised how warm these keep you. No lofted material but great for temps in the 50s-60s.
The padding is excellent, the looks are reserved. Highly recomended.
Good for what they're good for.
These bib knickers are unlined, unfleeced, and simply longer version of your summer bibs. The chamois is relatively marginal. The fit is good. (I'm 5' 8-1/2" tall and 185-190 in winter and the XL fits me great.)
I bought them to train for cyclocross, and possibly race in them. For that, they're perfect. The fit is tight enough that I can dismount/remount the bike with no problems, and the races are short enough that I don't need a more substantial long-ride chamois. The length is perfect for me--enough to cover my knees to keep the wind and water off. I don't need embro if I wear taller socks.
I did, however, use them last week for a 3:45 hour training road ride, and got some chaffing that wouldn't have happened on my 'long ride' bibs. My own fault.
As someone else noted, the decal/sticker/whatever on the knee is starting to peel off, but the one on the back is fine. I'll probably buy another pair at the current price, and use them for what I initially bought them for: short rides in weather that's not too chilly.
Not too sure about these.
I've only had them for a few months, but I've gotten quite a few rides in them. After the first wash, the stitching that holds the chamois in place is already coming undone. Also the fancy little scorpion decals on the knee and butt are about to come completely off (not sure if I care, tho). Probably not a bad idea to step up to a more expensive bib.
It's important to note that these tights are not insulated at all. Aside from the extra coverage on your knees, they aren't going to keep you any warmer than your summer shorts.
Fit is nice. I'm 5'10"/175 and I got the Large.
Are these wind proof or fleeced lined?...
Are these wind proof or fleeced lined? Been getting wind burn/Chaffe on the 2 inch spot that isn't covered by my leg Warmers or bibs.
No wind barrier, so no good on cold, cold days. Find something with windtex, but you may need full tights for that. Castelli Polare are great for your go to set of WINTER tights. Otherwise, you want something with Roubaix type material- fleecy, and capable of keeping some warmth.
Good first impression
Got out on a short ride (1 hour). Fit is good (5'10", 180#, size large). The suspenders don't pull on the shoulders. Very comfortable material. Padding was fine, but I didn't ride very far. Can't believe I waited this long to get a pair of knickers.
Overall, a good deal for the price.
I needed a set of knickers, but being in South Texas our cold weather riding season is kind of short and off and on. Still doing 40+ to 50 degree AM rides can occur quite frequently, but not enough to warrant dropping a $150+ on a set of knickers, IMO. Therefore, I was looking for something cheaper and for $60 these are a sweet deal. The construction is quality and they look/feel great. I was a little disappointed at the thickness of the chamois (especially since I use Assos bibs), so I was expecting a semi-painful ride. I was pleasantly surprised at how they felt better than decent while using a relatively hard saddle (Specialized Toupe). I am 6' 5" @ 204 lbs. and get the majority of my height from legs so they're actually a little short and don't go below the knee as far as I would like, but no biggie. My legs are decent sized, but not BIG by any means and I got the XXL size and the overall fit is pretty tight. Not uncomfy tight, but if you've got big legs be ready for some pretty heavy duty compression. Overall, a good buy for $60.
Write your question here...Are the Nero...
Write your question here...Are the Nero bibs fleeced lined or are they plain lycra?
Just plain. With a set of leg warmers underneath these were fine for -1C. Otherwise I like them by themselves down to 5c.
Great knickers for the fall season. I'm 6'4", 190 lbs and the large fits perfect. Will be laying these under some winter tights once the cold weather hits.
Good, basic knickers
These are good, basic knickers. The fit is superb (note: euro fit, so size up). I'm 6' 5" tall, 200 lbs. The XXL fits perfectly. These are my go-to bibs for 50 to 60 degree weather. The chamois is nice, very comfortable.
