Temper the Flandrian fields.

Whether you're racing, spectating, or running support in the pit, the thought of setting out for 'cross in the morning during an early winter cold snap can be demoralizing at best. Castelli agrees, and the Meccanico Puffy Jacket is built to help a Mediterranean temperament deal with conditions more suited to a Belgian winter.

The Meccanico features a bulkhead of synthetic down that's quilted to maintain even distribution and reinforced with fleece lining. The shell has a water-repellant finish, and a zippered hand pocket provides a convenient way to avoid setting your multi-tool down in the wet grass. An adjustable hood rounds out the jacket's protective palmarès, maintaining a Riviera-esque microclimate even when the weather is more Flandrian.

Great looking puffy jacket

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: Runs small
  • Size Bought: XXL

I purchased this in the grey color and it is absolutely a good looking jacket. I do want to reiterate that this jacket does not run as small as other Castelli items; at 5'8" and 195 I could have gotten away with an XL. it is warm and comfortable. Many, many compliments have been received while using this jacket...

Nice Jacket.

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: XXL

Bought this jacket at the Black Friday/Cyber Monday Sale. It's good quality and has a nice fit. I would consider it to be a fitted type cut. I have worn it nearly everyday and seems to be holding up fine. I would suggest you order the same size you wear in Castelli fitted riding gear. If you don't own any Castelli stuff don't guess, measure your chest and order accordingly. Room for a few layers without being loose fitting. I have worn it in temperatures from the teens up to the 40's and seems to work just fine.

To me, it fits like a more casual Jacket that the usual Castello racing line.
