Pedal all season long.

A result of direct requests from Castelli’s professional riders, the Castelli Isterico Vest is designed to keep your core warm during long off-season training rides when both cool temperatures and light precipitation are a concern.

The Isterico is constructed using windproof and water resistant Windstopper X-Free fabric on the front and sides (for maximum protection from the elements) and Warmer fabric on the back (for breathability and temperature regulation). The pros on Garmin-Cervelo use it with long sleeve base layer and a thermal long sleeve jersey in place of a full windproof jacket. The layers give them more options while preventing them from overheating -- when they get too hot, they simply remove the vest.

Cut to provide an anatomic fit that’s perfect for cycling, the Isterico also borrows details from Castelli’s other winter garments including YKK camlock zippers that lay flat against the vest. An elastic band on the back of the waist and a low-cut back keep it from riding-up while you’re bent towards the bars. A zippered-front pocket is perfect for your cell phone or keys, while three traditional rear pockets are more than enough for whatever gear you might want to carry. And last but not least, rear reflective tabs and trim at the hem provide increased visibility in low-light conditions.

The Castelli Isterico Vest is available in Black/anthracite or White/red and comes in six Castelli-specific sizes from Small through XXX-Large.

  • Anatomical cut with an elastic waistband at the rear so the Isterico Vest won't bunch or ride up when you're hunched-over in the drops
  • Rear reflective tabs keep motorists aware of your presence in low light
  • Three rear pockets carry the afternoon supplies
  • Front zippered chest pocket for the important essentials
  • YKK camlock zipper won't readjust itself during flight
  • Castelli Warmer Fabric on the back of vest for breathable insulation and comfort

awesome cold weather vest

perfect cold weather vest. will definitely keep your core warm. good for when it's 50-60 degrees out with some base layers. nice that is has 3 back pockets for easy access to items. it's thicker, so you can't really pack it up and fit it within a jersey pocket.

Great vest for all day use.

If you need to stay warm all day on a cold and windy day, this thing is great. I went out without arm or knee warmers, and my torso was kept pleasantly warm. My elbows were freezing, but not my chest. It breaths very well, I like how the back panel wicks moisture away very well, just wish it wasn't a different color. (If it were all black, it'd be more slimming. I'm a fatty.)

Very good product, dries quickly, does the job well.

What temp range would this be appropriate for? 60's F?

Depends on what you have underneath it, but typically you wear a thin base layer then jersey and then vest over top. Typically 50-60 degrees Fahrenheit depending on the humidity in the air and if it is sunny or not. Sixty and sunny you may be too warm but if it is 60 and damp it may work. Hope that helps.

Really nice just not what i was expecting

If you want a gore wind stopper thin fleece vest buy this, its really high quality fit (Areo/Euro cut), materials and carftmanship. As others have said, and along the line of all castelli stuff, it is a snug fit so be expecting it, i am 6'2" and 180# and the XL is perfect, like a glove.

I wanted more of a packable wind vest so i am sending it back and getting the compatto which seems more what i am looking for. This is a bit heafty for a jersey pocket if the temperature rises. Feels very warm and windproof, I suggest reading the description on the castelli website prior to ordering, as it describest the materials a bit better.
