Castelli Invidia Women's Jacket $0.00
Fun in the wintry sun.
Done right, a winter jacket can be a prized cycling possession. It can be insurance not just against wind, but from the chill that comes with being wet. The Castelli Invidia Women's Jacket is one of those rare jackets that will keep you warm in almost any conditions and features a form-following cut to prevent drafts and the discomfort that comes with excess material bunching up.
The Invidia Jacket is cut from Windstopper X-Fast fabric for superior wind-stopping protection. While the Windstopper membrane keeps cold air from penetrating the jacket, the brushed fleece inside the jacket keeps you warm and transports moisture away from your skin or baselayers, through the Windstopper membrane so it can evaporate. These aspects make this a jacket that will keep you comfortable all the way down to freezing temperatures.
The collar is cut long so it can be flipped up for extra warmth and is constructed from Castelli's Thermoflex material for a snug fit. It has a soft, fleecy finish so it won't chafe when you've got it zipped all the way up to ward off cold winds. And for long rides when you'll need to carry extra water and snacks, two pockets are positioned low on the back for easy access and are substantial enough to hold all of your essentials. Gripper elastic keeps the hem from shifting around on your waist when you're loaded down.
The Castelli Invidia Women's Jacket is available in Black/white, Red/white, and Violet/white and comes in five sizes from X-Small through X-Large.

Way too short in length and arms
Beautiful, soft, cozy, warm... and SHORT.
I'm 5'8", 125 pounds, and like many other jerseys, the small is perfect in width but barely covers my belly button in front, and rides up in back while I'm biking- not to mention the arms only go to mid-way between my wrists and elbow when I'm biking. A bigger size is too wide for me, so I guess this one's getting returned....
Great purchase for slim & long gal in Boston
I'm 5' 7', 115 lbs and bust 32-34. I also have a relatively long back so many jerseys/jackets just ride up my back. This is nice and long. I wear it cycling but its so windproof that I use it as streetwear all the time. Its a little wide from bottom of rib-cage to hip so not super form fitting: I usually wear size small in european and XS /S American jerseys but this jacket was a little too narrow in the shoulders so I sacrificed race fit for shoulder comfort. The only thing I would change would be to have a zippered pocket somewhere in the front-for wallet (or cell phone which I always like to have on my rides) and a zipper that can also zip up from the bottom because this jacket gets really hot really fast in non- freezing weather.

cute but too warm
I got this jacket in the white, size S. Looked great and fit great (5'2" / 120 lbs) over a base layer. Very stylish.
Unfortunately, the climate where I live is pretty temperate, and even on a short commute, I immediately heated up in this softshell, given the nice fuzzy fleece lining and lack of venting options. This would be great for 25-45 degree rides but for anything above (unless you run very cold), it's probably overkill.
One additional issue was that the back would ride up somewhat compared with other long-tailed thermal jackets I tried, which can be an issue if you're pairing with low-waisted jeans on a commute rather than with cycling gear...
My wife loves it. Full windtex, fleece lining. Warm, nice style. Clever. Made in Asia. 5ft5, 125. Small is just right. My wife bemoans the fact that guys get all the good looking, techy clothes. Not so here. This coat is clever and cool and smart.
Snug as a bug in a rug
I love this jacket! I just wore it for a winter ride in 25 degree weather and it kept me nice and toasty. It moves with you and is lightweight. I'd recommend this jacket.
Warm, classy, perfect fit!
Based on a review I ordered up a size (small), but it was too big. I recommend going by the sizing chart and not worrying about ordering up or down...just read the numbers! The first one I got was red, and it looked nice, but very sporty. I exchanged it for the white/blue xs and it is the best thing I have ever worn! I am about 5'5" with a small frame. All parts of it fit great and it looks so nice. I think the white/blue is a lot fancier than the red. I wear a short sleeve jersey and armwarmers underneath and my body stays warm long after my toes and hands go numb from the cold. No wind (even at 35+) seems to make its way through either. Wearing white worries me, since I tend to get stuff dirty, but spots wipe right off with a damp cloth. Nothing about this jacket is off! The price is kinda high, but it is great quality, and I really haven't thought twice about it since using it.
Beautiful jacket, yet extremely practical.
I picked this up for my wife and she loved it! The first day she wore it, her riding partner couldn't stop talking about how nice it looked. It was warm and very comfortable. She loved the high collar and the fit. It was true to the dimensions on the sizing chart and fit very well. This is a beautiful, well made and very effective jacket.
Stylish and cozy warm - what's not to love?
Absolutely love my new Invidia Jacket. I looked at a myriad of thermal women's jackets and settled on this one after trying it on at the store. I can wear one cold-gear (under armour) base layer and be comfy-cozy warm in 26degrees. One regular base layer will probably make it comfy to 40degrees. Sizing is true - I wear a size small in just about every top and the jacket still had enough room to fit a fleece jersey (which I had to peel out of b/c I was sweating!) and my cold-gear baselayer.
stylish, very warm, doesn
I usually wear XS on most of the jerseys but i ordered a size up thinking i would wear a longsleeve jersey inside. it fits perefectly that way. i wear this not just over a cycling jersey but normal shirts even turtlenecks. it looks pretty look with jeans as well.
stylish, very warm, i bought white and was concerned about getting it dirty easily, but not the case, the material does not get stained easily.
pricy, but i dont regret. highily recommended.
If you own this jacket . . . did you order...
If you own this jacket . . . did you order a size up? I'm concerned about the fit across the shoulders and in the arm circumference.
Thanks in advance for any answer
I wear this jacket with a baselayer, and prefer the slim fit to stay warm. Castelli is a performance cut, so if you want room to layer, then I suggest trying one size up from what you usually wear.
No- order per the size chart.
