Castelli Fausto Wool Long Sleeve Jersey $0.00
If you chart the staying force of all the material trends in cycling apparel, you would see innumerable valleys and only a couple of peaks. To follow this analogy, Lycra might be a hill, but wool is more like K2. That's why the Castelli Fausto Wool Long Sleeve Jersey is our obvious choice for riding this winter. In designing the Fausto jersey, Castelli used its century of craftsmanship to construct a jersey that holds true to the idealism of the past while serving the living.
The Castelli Fausto Wool Long Sleeve Jersey is made from washable 100% pure wool. Castelli's choice of wool is more than just an aesthetic throwback -- wool has pronounced heat retention, moisture wicking abilities, and it's a natural odor fighter. Additionally, the Fausto jersey features a contemporary fit and three rear pockets with plenty of room to store your vino and panini. For a nice added touch, the Castelli scorpion logo has been embroidered on the chest.
The Castelli Fausto Wool Long Sleeve Jersey is available in six sizes from Small to XXX-Large and in the colors Red/black and Royal/black.

- How to Measure:
- For best results, take measurements over your underwear.
- Measure under your arms, around the fullest part of your chest.
- Measure around your natural waistline, keeping the tape a bit loose.
- Measure around the fullest part of your body at the top of your legs.
- Using pants that fit well, measure the crotch seam to the bottom of the leg.

Wool at is best !
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
I got this jersey a few most ago to start built my cycling closet. Couldn't be happier. The fitting is great, I'm about 5'8" and 150 lb and a large fits great. The jersey is great for long spring, fall rides, just using and windproof base layer.
Castelli Wool came out Clean
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
- Fit: Runs small
While the jersey I have is not the exact same jersey that is pictured here, what I can tell you is that their Wool Jerseys can take a beating and come out SPOTLESS.
What you see here is a picture of one of my Castelli Long Sleeve wool jerseys that took the brunt of a crash into a ravine on my left shoulder. I was bummed, not because I was hurt, but because I feared my jersey was going to be permanently ruined from the mud and grass stains.
To my surprise, the Castelli Wool Jersey held up, no tears in the fabric , and more importantly the stains came completely out.
I guess this could be a review for the laundry detergent, but I want to give all of the credit to my Castelli Jersey, it took a beating and came out Clean!
Castelli Wool Jersey
Disclaimer about the above picture: ^^^^^
1) The Castelli Jersey I'm wearing is not this exact same one
2) The Jersey I have on is the previous year version of this jersey
3) I bought it on Department of Goods which is now Backcountry.com...Love them both.
+ Castelli runs small...I normally wear a Medium with other brands. With Castelli I always choose a Large.
From the picture above you can see the sleeve length is just right for my 32/33 arm length.
Is this made from an itch-free Merino wool?...
Is this made from an itch-free Merino wool? Is it meant to be worn next to the skin? Can you layer it with another under garment for additional warmth if necessary? Does it have any wind stopping ability or would you need to wear a windbreaker over it? This jersey is quite expensive even on sale and I would want it to be an ideal garment for winter riding.
Good questions! Anyone?
I have two wool long sleeve jerseys from Castelli and they don't itch at all. I can't speak for the Merino wool, but it's extremely comfortable and I use it on my mountain bike rides as well.
