Description

All of the tech without any of the fuss.

It will never cease to amaze us how Castelli is capable of presenting complicated design in an understated, minimalist package. Case in point are its new CW. 5.1 Gloves. These gloves feature wind-resistant fabrics that keep you warm on late season rides, all without the pomp and circumstance that you'd expect from gloves that are this efficient.

This was achieved through the incorporation of a high-gauge, stretchy body that's paired with a mesh liner. This way, your hands remain dry and comfortable, but more importantly, warm. At the palm, a minimal foam padding provides light support without hindering dexterity, and extensive silicone screen printing ensures and enhanced grip in challenging conditions. A Microsuede thumb panel has also been provided in order to act as a wiping surface. And lastly, reflective piping on the center panel adds an element of safety in the low-light conditions that these gloves are destined for.

The Castelli CW. 5.1 Gloves are available in five sizes from Small to XX-Large and in the colors Black/anthracite, Black/white, and White/black. Please note that Castelli recommends wearing these gloves within a temperature range of 50 to 60.8 degrees Fahrenheit.

Great for the money.

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

So far, I've been really impressed by these gloves and Castilli's line, in general. I own the estremo and the leggerio and I use this pair when it gets into the high 40s and 50s. They are a light glove with a little padding. Dexterity is great in these and the grip is fantastic. Hands down, I've had a better time with these than the Assos Early Winter gloves and they are far, far less money.
