Looking good is half the battle. The other half is winning

The turning of leaves ushers in a different race season. Cyclocross. A season that revolves around muddy courses, barriers, cow bells, stroopwafels, and an hour in the pain cave. Castelli introduced the Cross Sanremo Speedsuit to keep you looking and feeling good as you race through muddy courses with the sounds of cowbells and drunken spectators ringing in your ears. The Cross Sanremo takes inspiration from the Pro Tour-tested Sanremo Speedsuit, and adds more features for cold weather and cyclocross racing.

The Cross Sanremo Speedsuit has unique construction for a speedsuit and is designed specifically for cyclocross. From the back it has the classic, one-piece look to keep cold air and mud from finding their way up your back. But from the front, it appears to be two separate pieces. This unique design gives you better ventilation in the jersey and the feeling of wearing bibs, without nature-break hassles.

The shorts are made from a single piece of Action 290 fabric for durability and stretch. The single piece of fabric used to construct these shorts means fewer seams to give you the same fit as the Castelli Body Paint shorts, and eliminates chafing where common seams typically rub. Giro 3 single-layer, sublimation-printed leg endings finish off the shorts. The sublimation-printed leg doesn't use thick silicon gripper around the leg ending. Instead, the gripper is woven into the fabric so when it is stretched around your leg, it grips.

The jersey portion of the Cross Sanremo is Thermoflex fleece with a long front. A cold weather riding fabric, Thermoflex has a fleecy, polyester core that traps a layer of warm air next to your skin. This fabric offers better warmth and wicking properties than traditional fabrics, so you don't have to worry about getting cold during a race. Nervato fabric inserts under the arms provide ventilation during your hour-long Tour de Threshold. The super stretchy construction of these inserts also adds to your flexibility. Shoulder seams that have been moved forward two inches for more comfortable shouldering of the bike, work in tandem with the underarm inserts so your mobility through the upper arm is maximized. A full-length YKK vislon zipper with a large pull tab makes it easy to dump heat, even with gloved hands. The jersey comes together with three-quarter length sleeves to keep the chill off your arms and a high collar to keep warm air in.

The Kiss3 chamois incorporates many of the same elements as the Progetto X2, but with a lower profile. Dual density foam at varying thicknesses throughout the chamois puts padding where it is needed most, tapering to a minimal thickness around the edges of the chamois for more of an ergonomic fit. The top of the chamois is covered with a soft, brushed microfiber for maximum comfort and utilizes a seamless design to eliminates chafing.

The Castelli 'Cross Sanremo Speedsuit is available in Black/red and comes in Small to XXX-Large.
