Ready for the elusive sunny winter day.

If you're like us, you find it difficult to get the most out of your legs when they get cold and windblown. What you need is windproof protection. These Castelli Corrente Women's Wind Tights are just the thing, and they're as stretchy and comfortable as your favorite yoga pants.

Made from their revolutionary SGO.6 Windproof stretch fabric, the Corrente Wind Tights are not only wind proof, but also incredibly water resistant. The SGO.6 is used on the upper parts of the legs. It has a lightly brushed back for greater insulation while a membrane laminated inside provides effective resistance to seeping moisture. This membrane is also what makes it wind proof. For the rest of the tights, Castelli uses Thermoflex fabric. It's a nylon/lycra blend, brushed on the inside for warmth while the exterior of the fabric has a silicon finish that works as a water repellent layer. The stretch-ability of the fabric also means that you’ll be able to slip into them like a second skin, keeping you looking lean and aero on the bike.

Castelli includes their Kiss 3 women's-specific chamois. Designed for women's anatomy and what you demand for all day comfort, the Kiss 3 chamois has a seamless layer right next to the skin which is made from a soft brushed microfiber. Having no seams means no chafing causing unwanted saddle sores, while it has been given a bacteriostatic treatment to help prevent infection of delicate tissues. The Kiss 3 also succeeds in offering a dual thickness strategically placed throughout the insert. There is a minimal thickness around the ischial zone then it beefs up for the perineal area until it tapers off as it reaches the outskirts of the chamois. Anatomically cut for the woman's body, the Kiss 3 insert will never burden you with a full frontal wedgy, rather it will allow your undercarriage to sit comfortably in the perfect 'zone.'

The Castelli Corrente Women's Wind Tights are built with flatlock stitching so you won’t have painful indentations in your skin after use. Ankle camlock zippers will make it possible for you to pull the tights on and off without pulling a muscle, and you'll be able to ventilate a little more on days that turn unexpectedly warm. Reflective tape at the ankle will keep you visible if you're out at dusk. The Corrente Women's Wind Tights come in Black and in sizes ranging from Small through X-Large.

  • SG.06 front panels are windproof and water-resistant to keep you warm
  • Thermoflex rear panels wick moisture and breathe well to avoid clamminess
  • KISS3 Woman chamois wicks moisture and adds padding for long-ride comfort
  • Reflective ankle zippers increase your visibility and make donning and removing the tights easy

Nice but...

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it

Its a nice cycling tight but somehow sizing is not the same with their tights and their shorts. Their shorts fits me fine but every time I try to buy their tights, the pad is just too big. This will have to go back.

How would these work for a tall woman? I'm around 5'11" and want these to be long enough.

Not Castelli's Finest

I'm a big fan of Castelli but I really didn't like these tights. I'm 5'5" and 107 lbs. I ordered the XS. The waist was too small but the legs were too big - everywhere and especially in the knees. The chamois is huge - it truly feels like a diaper. Not ok standing or on the bike. I returned these and ordered the Sorpasso bibs -which I love.

Great tights!

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I wear small Castelli Vizio Tre shorts, but got a medium in these. I think the hips could have handled the size small, but the calves would have been cramped. The wind front material is stretchier than on a lot of of other wind proof tights, so they are not restrictive at all while riding. Nice and thick fleece. Took them out in 35 degree foggy weather with a 15mph head wind, and stayed toasty warm.

Love at first ride

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I wore these this morning for the first time, and I like them so much I have to share! They are extremely comfortable and warm! The chamois is big, but it's fine on the bike. This morning my ride was a 1-hour commute to work, heading out at about 42 degrees (clear, no wind). I'll report more later, after I've ridden them more, in colder weather, and on a longer ride.

Chamois too big

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
  • Fit: True to size

I liked the tight but the chamois was just huge and uncomfortable. I went with the Sorpasso instead and love them.

Perfect...except they don't fit me!

So, I ordered these in Medium, since all my other shorts/tights are Medium...Too big. Then, I ordered them in Small...Too small. They are just what I wanted: cozy warm thin fleece inside, wind resistant front panel, good chamois, wide waistband. So sad they just don't fit! Otherwise, they'd be perfect for Windy Winter Riding.
