Castelli Aero Rain Lite Long Sleeve Jersey $0.00
Castelli knows that race organizers aren't likely to sympathize when you'd rather wimp out on account of a little rain on race day. That's why Castelli constructed the new Aero Rain Lite Jersey out of super-light waterproof and windproof WindStopper X-Lite fabric. Fitting like a race jersey but protecting like a rain jacket, the Aero Rain Lite Jersey offers you an aerodynamic, all-weather edge, so you can forget about the weather and focus on attacking the break.
- A drop tail keeps that wet rooster tail from soaking your backside
- Nano Flex fabric inserts under your arms keep your core temperature regulated in the rainy heat of battle
- Zippered vents along the sides dump excess heat when the sun comes out
- Tested, used, and endorsed by the Garmin Cervelo Pro Cycling Team
Note: Castelli has a "Euro" slimmer fit. We suggest ordering at least one size larger than your normal US size.
- How to Measure:
- For best results, take measurements over your underwear.
- Measure under your arms, around the fullest part of your chest.
- Natural Waist:
- Measure around your natural waistline, keeping the tape a bit loose.
- Measure around the fullest part of your body at the top of your legs.

I only used this once but these is one of castelli's better designs. Great for fall and late winter/early spring. It would be good for most types of rain you'd actually be riding in, but not very heavy rain because the seems are not taped.
Love this Jersey

Put this on with my new Castelli long sleeve base layer on a chilly day, and it was perfect.
I really like this Jersey
This is one of the most useful pieces of gear I own. I have 2 of these now a medium and a large. Very weather proof. Very nice fit. Comfortable with or with out a base layer. I like a Patagonia light weight top with a zipper as a base layer on cold wet days. The vents keep the jersey from puffing out when the main zipper is opened up and give the in comming air a place to escape.
Have ridden in this about 10-12 times now in temps in the mid 40's to 50's and am comfortable with just a base layer. Think you need a long sleeve base layer with this as this has no insulating material at all, therefore when wearing just the jersey, the chill will come right through. Even though it's windproof, you will feel like it isn't. With a base layer, no problem. This one hugs you. I'm 5'11", 152 lbs and 31" waist and the medium is fine but snug. Can't layer much under it, so if you want to do that, order up a size.
great training top
I have both this long sleeve version and also the short sleeve version. AWESOME items. ... $ but the price is long forgotten when the items perform like both these do.
Today, used the aero rain light longsleeve in layers along with a heavier long sleeve base plus longsleeve jersey; weather 39F very light rain, progressing to steady rain. Not nice conditions but at the end of 2hr30m was comfortable and dry on my torso and arms. (could have gone longer but gloves were soaked/hands frozen) The point is that the aero rain light waterproof jersey did the job exceptionally well. I checked when home and you could see on the inside of the jersey the odd point where water stared to penetrate ie lower back from wheel spray (but mostly dry). The highly stretchy material makes the fit feel like a custom made item. Looks like it surely could become a favorite jersey. Highly recommend.
I gotta say after using this jersey on about 20 rides now I'm completely sold on it. I bought it when still living on the west coast but now that I'm back in the Midwest I can use it on anything below 60 degrees. I was out in a 35 degree weather ride and pair with a midweight, arm warmers and ss jersey this thing definitely kept me warm enough. I agree the front zippers for ventilation do not really help much. Sizing is pretty close to normal tight fit
compared to some other castelli items. I definitely feel like the arms have the wind stopper fabric and in the rain for the last 30 minutes of my ride it kept me warmzx
Multipurpose piece of kit
Fitted without being restrictive. Moves with you and doesn't flap. With a midweight baselayer (Craft Zero) it is great from the mid 40 to mid 50 degrees F. Enough perspiration evaporates during hard efforts that you avoid moisture buildup and the subsequent chill once the effort ends. Haven't yet used it in the rain. Only had the pleasure of keeping my backside dry on wet roads.
Only knocks are the construction creates squared shoulders - reminds me of a Michael Jackson "thriller" jacket shoulders. The vents are of little utility - not much difference between open or closed. Small knocks against an otherwise excellent piece.
I plan to pair with the new Assos rain knickers on foul weather rides.
Aero Rain Jersey
Great cool/damp weather jersey. Nice to have a warm jersey that fits so it doesn't flap in the breeze. Material and fit are outstanding. Not sure but it doesn't feel like the windstopper fabric extends down the sleeves. Chest and torsoe stay comfortable in 45-55* conditions with a light base layer, but the arms feel the chill. The drop tail is a great feature when roads are wet. Would be nice in some other colors. White looks great but not after a wet ride on dirty roads. Black is low visabilty and boring. Overall good stuff. Pricey but worth it if you're out in lousey weather.
