Capo SC-12 Short Sleeve Jersey $149.95
Style and cycling jerseys just made passionate love, this is their offspring.
The best-selling SC-12 (short for "Super Corsa 2012") kit sits at the top of Capo's standard range, just below their ATS line of kits. The line is also delineated by its highly technical fabrics and significantly streamlined race fit optimized for longer arms, shorter torsos, and a more aggressive riding position. The SC-12 Jersey is constructed from the same Carbon E fabric which Capo includes in the sourcing for many of their top-shelf jerseys. Carbon E is a technical, dual-knit microfiber polyester with a visible antimicrobial carbon thread running throughout that helps expedite moisture transfer and drying time, while also keeping you effectively shielded from harmful UV rays. It's a subtle upgrade from the Modena or Dorato kits, but one that you're certain to appreciate after long hours in the saddle, weekend in, and weekend out.
Like all of Capo's jerseys, the full-length zipper is lockable. In its flipped upright position, the jersey can be pulled apart with one hand. Simply flip the zipper down, and it locks. This makes opening yourself up for ventilation a safe, single-handed affair while riding. Three generous back pockets house plenty of room for tools, snacks, a wind vest, or any other essentials you might need for your ride. The SC-12 Jersey is available in either Black or White colorways, both of which are generously splashed with the red, white, and green of the Italian flag. Choose from sizes Small through XX-Large.
- Three back pockets carry the afternoon's supplies

- Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
I am very happy with the construction and fabrics used in this jersey. I ordered the large with a concern of the capo sizing rumours. My chest is 99 cm and I would prefer this jersey to be smaller/tighter. That being said at 5"10 it is already so short on me that I would could not consider exchanging it for a medium.
Worst ever jersey
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
Looks good and is well tailored, except for the rear pockets which happen to be the worst pockets ever. Period. Too high and narrow, making it near impossible to retrieve anything during the ride.
The SC-12 kit and fit
Sorry for the blurry picture, but it should give an idea of the fit and appearance on an actual person. I have a 35" chest and the jersey is a size small. The shorts are the matching black SC-12.
The outfit is definitely pretty sweet-looking.
This is an offering from Capo's mid-tier line and it's a good one. The jersey's intended for racing and fits rather like Castelli's aero jerseys (except that Castelli sizing is runs much smaller; an S in Capo fits like an M in Castelli). So very trim and no billowing fabric, which is exactly what you want when you're hammering, but that also means that the shirt is unforgiving of spare tires. The sleeves are just a bit longer than usual, but I don't mind. The jersey's also somewhat cropped, giving a smarter more rakish look to the kit. I've worn the black jersey on hot and humid days and managed just fine.
The one legitimate drawback to the jersey, and the reason I deducted a star, is the back pockets. While the pockets are deep, given the cropped cut the openings are high up and more difficult to access than your typical jersey. On the 40+ mile hard club rides, I like to carry small water bottles back there but I don't see how I can safely access them and put stuff back. It may be something I'll eventually get used to, but may be a cause of annoyance for those considering this jersey.
