Capo Riserva Bib Shorts $0.00
There aren’t too many things that can ruin a ride faster than an inadequate chamois; any damage caused during one ride will invariably be carried over to subsequent rides since tender areas irritate quickly but heal slowly. The Capo Riserva Bib Shorts have been designed to be your go-to shorts for comfort and performance.
The secret lies in the quality of the chamois, and here Capo has aimed for the moon with the Eschler Chamois. The super comfortable insert has been anatomically shaped to fit your body and move with you. The insert has varying thicknesses at strategic points to target areas that need extra padding while not inhibiting other places with extraneous, bunched up material.
The body of the Riserva Bib Shorts uses a special fabric that manages to be stretchy and supportive at the same time. The key to compression fabrics is that they support and comfort the muscles while not over-squeezing your body so that you feel like an overworked tube of toothpaste. The fabric also works overtime to keep you well ventilated and to keep a buildup of moisture from irritating the tender points. The Dryline fabric wicks the moisture from your skin to facilitate the required breathability, even on the hottest days.
Leg grippers hold the hems in place without over pressuring your legs. Even your most furious intervals won’t shake them out of place. The nine inch inseam will hit you mid-leg and give you the perfect balance between protection from the sun and tan line height. Available in Black with the typical Blue Riserva styling, the Capo Riserva Bib Shorts are the perfect foundation for all-day comfort. They come in sizes Small through XX-Large.

These have quickly become one of my favorite bibs. I've used them on multiple rides between 30 and fifty miles, and not thought about them at all. I must say though, that the straps are a little funky. I'm 6'4 and the straps are tight going on, but I don't notice them after that.
Nice quality and compression, but short bib straps.
I am 5'10" tall, 160 pounds, and 32" inseam (45" x-seam). The material is very nice, the band of stretch fabric at the bottom of each leg is a nice alternative to silicone grippers, and felt as if it would work well. There is nice compression, comparable to my Sugoi shorts. However, I could barely get the straps over my shoulders. I had them on less than 30 seconds and knew they had to go back. I have fairly long legs and less torso, so I am not sure who these would fit. Maybe someone much shorter overall, but just as wide.
I usually wear a size L on my other capo bibs but this bib feels much smaller, specially the shoulder straps, hardly has any stretch. The straps start digging into your shoulders as soon as you put them on. Tried it on 40mile ride but no improvement so ended up returning em. Not sure if I want to order it on size XL, as chamois might be too big then
im 6'1" and 190lbs, more build in my upper body than lower body. I got larges (the same size all of my other bibs and shorts are) and they fit me, i love them, but i could probably wear XL also. They are a little smaller than most bibs but they stretch when you put them on so you could probably get away with your regular size. If they fit you, theyre awesome! no annoying rubber leg grippers, but they still dont ride up. I rode 112 miles on these and they felt better than any shorts/bibs ive ever owned. good at the regular price, a steal at bonktown. ill buy more for sure!!
Disappointed with these
Let me first say that 3 of my other kits are Cap (RealCyclist one, Turismo, and Atlas) and a Descent kit. I'm 6' tall, about 179 lbs, and wear size large in all the kits. All fit fine. I am, according to all Capo sizing charts that I've seen, a Large.
I bought these on Bonktown for about $109. They finally arrived and I put them on to test fit, and they felt snug. More snug than other Capo stuff. But I decided to give them a test ride. They got uncomfortable after 5-6 miles and my 20-mile ride was definitely less enjoyable because of the bibs.
The leg grippers are fine, but some of the seams dig in. The BIGGEST issue I have is that these don't seem sized right. The straps pull down uncomfortably (they leave a mark on my shoulders) and the neck area at the back of the bib cuts into my neck. It's as if the bibs are just too short in overall length.
They fit my thighs and waist fine, but the straps cutting into my shoulders makes these impossible to wear.
I tried them again last night, just to make sure I wasn't being picky. Same issue, this time on a 10-mile ride (cut short because of the straps). So they are being returned. Disappointed with these...but would be REALLY annoyed if I had paid full price.
FWIW, the chamois is very thick and comfortable. Thicker than that in the Turismo.
Great shorts...even better on Bonktown!
A bit different than other manufacturers, but the fit is fine. The bibs straps are a bit short when standing, but when on the bike, they are perfect. Plenty of room for your junk as well.
Excellent! Very compressive and comfortable. Higher quality than lower $ bibs! Chamois was great on a 3.5 hour ride.
The inseam of the bibs feels a bit short, but they never rode up above my oh-so-tight tanlines. I never noticed any issues with the seams. As a matter of fact, I quite like the fact that the leg openings don't have elastic or the gel-grip type leg band.
Capo makes top quality stuff!
Great Design but not by comfort
I bought this bib to match the Riserva jersey. The design was great as it was not boastful like other bibs. I'm not a pro so the design was great for me. But the first time I tried it on I immediately noticed the seams cutting my skin, and imagined how it would be during the ride.. I felt the seams from the thighs to the back and in the leg grippers. Even though i'm not a pro that is already a fail for me.. Comfort in clothing is always a plus..
