Pedal strong.

The Pursuit kit occupies the top of Capo's Corsa range. Corsa is a series of shorts and jerseys that use Italian-sourced fabrics to offer club ride-ready comfort, but with the performance you would expect from the technical style savants at Capo. The Pursuit Bib Shorts follow the contoured construction seen in Capo's top-shelf shorts while simplifying things a bit. There are eight panels rather than ten (or more), with three around and one wrapping the bottom of each leg. The bib suspenders are a more traditional lightweight and breathable mesh. The legs are constructed from a high-gauge (HG) Lycra. The material feels dense and three-dimensional in the hand. This feature gives it muscle compression for greater comfort, abrasion resistance for durability, and moisture-transfer so you won't feel like you're bathing in perspiration on hot days. The cuffs are treated with a traditional silicone bead to keep them in place while you ride.

The chamois is Capo's Anatomic-L HD Carbon Elastic Interface Technology (EIT) Insert. They use high-density open-cell foam bonded to an anti-microbial micro-fiber layer that has antimicrobial carbon fiber threads woven through it to aid in moisture evaporation. In addition to the slim, movement-freeing shape, there are 6mm and 8mm-thick pads built into the pre-curved profile to optimize support on longer rides. The Capo Pursuit Bib Shorts are made in Canada. They come in Black, and sizes run from Small to XX-Large.

Great fabric, simple design works

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

These bibs have become a go-to over the last year due to the straight forward yet very high quality design. The fabric is simply top notch in comfort, and the chamois is just the right size and density to disappear during rides. The design is very simple compared to other bibs in terms of number of panels, chamois shape/density, and aesthetics. Leg grippers work just as they should, and straps are a nice simple design that have a little extra length than normal bibs. I'm 6'1", 170 lbs and went with an XL based on the chart, but probably could've gone with a L as well based on strap length and the flexibility in the fabric.

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

These are simply great bibs. I have several other bibs of similar price but nothing else even comes close.

There are 3 things that set these apart from the other mid-range bibs I've tried.

1 - The straps are wide and don't bunch/ball up. This coupled with the fact that they are long enough (I'm 6'2") means they don't pinch at all in the shoulders.

2 - The fabric of the bib itself is made with very few pieces of material. Other bibs in this price range seem to piece/sew together smaller pieces of material, making for lots of seams. This Capo bib uses larger pieces of material resulting in very few seams. Are the others terrible? No, but the Capo is noticeably more comfortable on long rides.

3 - The chamois is just right, padded where it needs to be but not obtrusive. You basically forget that it's there.

My only complaint about Capo Pursuit is that it never seems to go on sale. :)

Awesome bibs!

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Very comfortable to ride in. The fit is more "American sizing" than "European" so, very true to American sizing.

Great set of bibs

These are great bibs. The material is very soft and the chamois is very comfortable, you don't even notice it but still get a great ride. The size chart is very accurate, I have a 30" waist and the meduims fit perfectly, also the straps are long enough to fit comfortably.
