Not quite built for use

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: Runs small
  • Size Bought: XL

Look good. Function poorly

The fundamental problem is you have to put them on via the leg. It zips down on the achilles tendon top open up wide just above the back f the shoe. This makes for a pretty small opening at a relatively poor stretch area. Leads to a bunch of popped threads at the seam where the top and bottom portions of the material connect. So far, I've only blown an inch worth of seam - on both booties. But I have only used them once.

The rear zipper is terrible. It cuts into my achilles heel right above the shoe's top whenever I drop my footanywhere past 90 degrees. Also, the little velcro flapt that covers the zipper pull sticks out to catch wind, completely negating any drag value of putting the zipper in the back.

Finally, you can't adjust the fit of your shoe once these are on. I wear a velcro closure. It's set once the bootie goes on because getting to the velcro requires taking the bootie off past the heel.

On the plus side, they do keep your feet warmer. They have a nice rubbery toe box that lets a little less air in and provides some abrasion resistance.

Stitching completely tore on the second wear ... right under the logo. Booties are useless now. Terrible quality, cheap construction. Avoid this product.

I purchased the XL, and wear a size 10.5. The booties fit nicely over my Mavic road shoes.

Update: the zipper came off completely the 2nd time I went to use these. Sad. The base of the zipper had no stop, and the pull mechanism slid right off. They were rendered useless and not wearable, as new as they are. Too bad.

Initial Impressions

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Really great looking shoe cover! I love the Capo brand and was really impressed with these booties. If you like Capo you'll love the design. Functionality? I need to put some miles on them in different conditions but they are warm. The one thing I will tell anyone is that they are VERY snug. If you're on the edge like I was just go up one size. I wear a size 11 shoe and the XL fits great. They are just a bugger to get on but you don't have any slippage during the ride.

I ordered the XXL, hoping, it would fit my size 14/50 shoe, and it didn't.

The covers look great, look warm, but they run small.

Fast and easy ordering, quick delivery.

    Great Winter Bootie!

I wear Euro 46/US 11.5 Sidi shoes and the XXL booties fit perfectly! They are very sturdy/durable and I can already tell they are going to be warm and last for many seasons. They have a zipper in the back and a velcro closure to cover up the zipper. I typically do not ride if it's below 40, but these will do the trick to suit my needs. Highly recommended for a winter bootie that's lightweight and not bulky, while still providing great warmth and wind protection.

      Great for under 30...

I don't get cold that fast, but found that at the end of an hour long ride my feet where getting extremely cold in 30 or colder weather.

I was using the capo sock shoe covers and wanted something for the colder times. These work really well for me. My feet stay warm but not to warm that they sweat.

I'm a big fan of the open bottom, let's me walk around without a problem.
