Capo GS-13 Roubaix Carbon Bib Shorts $249.95
Capo's new GS-13 (short for Gruppo Sportivo) Roubaix Carbon Bib Shorts were designed to be the ultimate lower body riding layer for moderate weather conditions. The shorts blend Capo's best fabrics and supportive chamois into a single system, making them ideal for all of your late season rides this fall and winter.
Capo constructed the shorts' contoured leg panels using its Super Roubaix Carbon fabric. The material's dense design gives it more muscle support than standard Lycra blends, as well as abrasion resistance for durability in the high-friction inner-thigh zone. This four-way stretch microfiber was also made with a carbon knit component for enhanced moisture transfer and antimicrobial protection. Capo gives its Super Roubaix Carbon a temperature rating of 40 to 55 degrees Fahrenheit, making the bib shorts perfect for cool fall and early winter riding conditions. The leg openings received a wide, single layer of silicone-taped Carbon ES fabric that gives you a gentle but secure hold without the bulkiness of any excess material. This simple, understated single-layer hem detail provides more comfort and breathability when compared to many overly-restrictive cuff designs that are currently out on the market.
At the uppers, you'll find Capo's super lightweight V-Mesh 360. This open mesh fabric is highly elastic with a supple texture that provides unmatched comfort, support, and freedom of upper body movement. This creates a vertically stable system that stays securely in place along your shoulders throughout your ride.
The GS-13's chamois is Capo's Anatomic 4G Carbon Elastic Interface Technology (EIT) Insert. Its high-density, open-cell foam is bonded to an antimicrobial microfiber layer that has carbon fiber threads woven through it in order to speed moisture evaporation. The 6- and 8mm-thick pads built into the pre-curved profile, along with its elastic memory, make this your perfect chamois for longer, or as Capo appropriately calls it "six-hour," rides.
The Capo GS-13 Roubaix Carbon Bib Shorts are available in the color Black and in five sizes from Small to XX-Large.

What community has to say
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
I'd seen this bib get a nice review in a national cycling magazine. The review was positive and so I purchased. I am very glad I did. The bid feels almost wind proof (30-40 mph gusts). Worn with windproof knee warmers and these bibs out performed the Castelli Sorpasso Bib Knickers. Handling the crazy winter, spring, and fall days of the high desert is challenging and these bibs will handle all that Mother Nature throws at one on the Colorado Plateau. I wanted a bib/knicker that would keep me from not freezing "below the waist" - this item won over the Sorpasso Knickers, hands down. The bright color makes "sense" for foul weather.
6 feet, 165 - 175 lbs, 42 long coat, 32 inch waist - a Large fits snug (pro fit).
No complaints about any pinching with straps. Pad is a bit bulky, but worthy of five hours in saddle.
