Capo Dorato Bib Shorts $0.00
The gold standard.
Especially in the available White colorway, there's an undeniably bold Euro-fabulous aesthetic to the Capo Dorato Bib Shorts. Even the name 'Dorato' itself is Italian for 'gold,' and is acknowledged in the golden stripe accents on the sides and back of the short. However, a deeper inspection reveals a highly technical short capable of tackling long rides through Tuscan wine country and tall climbs over the French alps, before stopping for gratuitous post-ride pastries and espresso drinks.
The Dorato Bib Shorts follow the contoured construction seen in Capo's top-shelf shorts while simplifying things a bit. There are eight panels rather than ten (or more), three around and one wrapping the bottom of each leg. The bib suspenders are a more traditional lightweight and breathable mesh. The legs are constructed from a high-gauge (HG) Lycra. The material feels dense and three-dimensional in the hand. This feature gives it muscle compression for greater comfort, abrasion resistance for durability, and moisture-transfer so you won't feel like you're bathing in perspiration on hot days. Rather than use a traditional gripper on the leg cuff, the Dorato utilizes a wide, doubled-over layer of laser-cut HG Lycra with a light silicone treatment to the underside. It's the same careful hem detail that Capo uses on their top-tier Volta and Drago kits. The generous width of the band makes the grip gentle, while the two layers limit stretch and thus grip your legs no matter how much they move.
The chamois is Capo's Anatomic-DP Carbon Elastic Interface Technology (EIT) Insert. They use high-density open-cell foam bonded to an anti-microbial microfiber layer that has antimicrobial carbon fiber threads woven through it to aid in moisture evaporation. In addition to the slim, movement-freeing shape, there are 6mm and 8mm-thick pads built into the pre-curved profile to optimize support on longer rides. The Capo Dorato Bib Shorts come in Black or White. Sizes run from Small to XX-Large.

Excellent bibs, great style
I am 5'11", 230, with a belly. I wear the XL and they are snug but still comfortable. The Chamois is excellent and very comfortable for the duration of a long ride. I wore them on a metric century and was confortable the whole way. I love the classic styling and the leg grippers are nice. Best pair of bibs I own.
these are awesome bibs!
I own and have used many different brands of bib shorts over the years and recently purchased the Dorato bib shorts in white. I've always been happy with bibs and the chamois made by Hincapie and other well known brands, but the quality of these Dorato bibs has surpased my expectations. Not everyone's body shapes are the same, but I'm 6'3" and 195 lbs and the XXL fit me perfectly. The material is extremely comfortable and I really like the leg band over grippers. I prefer the white shorts for hot, summer rides and the white material is NOT such that you can see through and see your junk (assuming you shave from the waist down). What impressed me the most is the chamois - it's very dense, yet has several "cells" of varying thickness that forms to your undercarriage quite well. Unlike some other Capo bib shorts I've tried from Realcyclist, the straps on the Dorato's are not too short and are very comfortable.
Hands down, Realcyclist.com is the best place online IMO to order bike gear. Placed the order online with free shipping and shorts arrived in 2 days! I anticapate these will be my go-to shorts for all day/century type riding.
Excellent bib short
Have worn these a few times in the past two weeks and have very impressed. Low cut in the front (which has come in handy at least once) and comfortably snug (but not oppressive). After 150 miles or so, chamois feels great, no hot spots and quality is excellent. I am 5'11", 165, (not young either) and the Medium fit well.
I received the bibs yesterday. They have a very nice feel to them. They do fit snug, but they are not uncomfortable. The front is lower than ither bibs I own, but jersey still covers skin. I have the Dorato jersey and bibs and it is a nice kit. I have not taken the bibs on a ride, but the jersey is excellent in keeping you dry and comfortable.
These are awesome I have used Cannondale, Craft, and others. These blow the other two out of the water. Very good value got on a sale a little better than this price. Very comfortable and the fit is snug 32 waist 37 chest for a medium. It is light and easy to move. Rode in a rainstorm with 50 degree weather today and they worked very well! Would recommend to a friend.

Capo Dorato Bib, what is the recommended...
Capo Dorato Bib, what is the recommended size for 30-31" waist, 5' 10 1/2" ht. ?
Rob, I'm 6' (weight 160lbs) with a 32" waist and I go with a Large for a perfect snug fit. I think you would be a medium most likely.
Just checked a sizing chart of theirs on another web site, and you are exactly a Medium according to it (I'd definitley advise you take a medium).
