Great but not perfect

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

These bib shorts have the same attention to detail and high functioning high tech fabrics that Capo is known for. I am 5'4" with a 31 1/2 inch inseam and wearing a size small I have no problems with fit, the straps stay in place, the shorts hit at mid thigh (long legs) and the silicone grippers and multi-panel fit prevent any riding up so no more fiddling with rolled over waistbands or surreptitiously hitching up your shorts as they try to shimmy down your hips like with non-bib shorts. The chamois is perfect, providing enough padding for many comfortable hours in the saddle without feeling like you're wearing a diaper. Not a fan of the full mesh tank which gets very hot on warm (80+F) days which is the reason for 4 instead of 5 stars. (I usually wear Capo's and Pissei's men's bib shorts in XS and prefer the minimal straps as they remain in place without making me overheat.)

Too short, ride up.

In most respects, I love these bibs. I'm not super wild about the "tank top" style upper design, since it's harder to wriggle out of as needed on the road, but I knew it would be going in. However, the chamois is great, and the fabric is really nice. They're comfortable and not overly bulky in the chamois. They look pretty pro as well, except...

They are way too short and ride up like crazy. I am 5'6 and very slight, so I picked up the xs model, which fit perfectly except that they're short. This wouldn't be too bad if they stayed put, but they don't. It's too bad, because I like them, but I don't know that I'll be able to ride with them, since it's embarassing!

Just ok

I don't like the full mesh top. I can't get to my HR monitor to adjust it if necessary. There is a seam on the inside of the legs that start to rub my thigh after a few miles in the saddle. The banding on the leg is great - doesn't cut off circulation and stays in place without the annoying grippers. The chamois is good. All in all, I prefer the Louis Garneau Mondo Bib Short. Fits true to size

Great bibs with awesome chamois

I have always been a huge Capo fan but wore their men's bibs. I was excited to try their women's bib even though the chamois seemed a lot thinner. I actually love the chamois and think it stays in place a lot better. These bibs are VERY short! It may be less of an issue for someone with short legs. The only thing I don't like about the bibs is the mesh upper as I prefer to wear a base layer and this creates an added layer. Plus, I usually tuck one of my headphone ear pieces into by bibs and I can't do so given the entry point is now up on my chest vs. down at my waist. I would highly recommend these bibs for the fit and comfort. I also have fund that you can get many years of wear out of the Capo brand. It's very durable.

Best chamois ever

I love these shorts, nice thick spandex, great size and placement of the chamois. I wasn't sure about the full coverage on the upper body section but it turn out to be great. Finding a good placement for the straps on traditional bibs for women can be awkward, no need here.

Best Chamois

It's the most comfortable chamois I've had out of all the top brands. Love the mesh upper, keeps you cool. The only thing I'm not a fan of is the wide band of lycra at the bottom of the leg - personal preference is no bands as when you're short, it makes you look shorter! Overall great bib.

Responded on

What other brands have you used? I'm on the quest for the perfect chamois and so far Descente Strata Ultra Endurance, Canari Legacy, Louis Garneau mondo bib all disappoint. Does this short have grippers? Thanks

Woman's Bib is a hit!

Was initially skeptical but went for them anyway. First time I wore a bib and now I know why all the men love them! They fit like nothing else and are always in perfect position. I will never go back to wearing 'shorts' after wearing these.
